Anyways, I came here seeking a new perspective and I found one, and even in my few hours here I can say that I've already learned so much from all of you here.

I think it is time for me to regress into my very own fortress of solitude as your kryptonite (sowing the seeds of disbelief) is taking quite a toll, not on my imaan but on my faith in muslims

To be honest, I am quite surprised this guy is still a Muslim - he fits the stereotypical profile of a murtad even more than abuy did??

not really, he was just faced with questions he never thought about before... i bet he's a typical Muslim who thinks God owes him one for believing in Him.

No, he definitely did not come across as a stereotypical muslim either. My bet is that he will apostacise, not through this site or any other, but of his own accord.  Either way I hope we here from him again, he sounded like an interesting chappie.

you can rest assured you planted the time bombs in his head, billy mentioned once... he didn't even put up a fight, like poor AbuYunus did.

    cya later streetrayDio.  parrot

I missed out on the questioning (although I think it is uncool to do so in an intro thread).
The question I would have asked is: What positive evidence do you have to prove that Islam is true (and not any other religion/tribe/cult) and that a personal, creator God exists?

I suspect IsLame would have asked questions regarding the prophet's character (marrying a 9 yr old, Banu Quraydha massacre, capturing slaves, killing Asma bint Marwan etc). whistling2

By the way, debunker is a Muslim too on this forum.  He is not a childish troll like alsaeedm, and he has his own ways of answering all our theological/philosophical questions -- patented and trade-marked ways. grin12

About religulous, yeah, its more of a comical movie, would definitely NOT convert anyone whatsoever.

It converted me. Although truthfully I was already 90% apostate when I watched it, but watching i got me rid of the last 10%

yes,i agree also, thats why god sent prophets to teach morality, and then people just taught to their children, otherwise if someone grows up in a jungle,he is like a wolf,he doesnt have morality, thats why there are holy books to teach it

Utter bull, there are very remote communities living in the Amazon which have a complete social structure, and Islam has not reached them.

    A few personal acknowledgements:

BlackDog: thanks for the inviting welcome and opinions

Hassan: thanks for explaining to me your rationale, I've bookmarked your blog so be sure to update it regularly once your arm/hand/broken appendage heals up

alsaeedm: Although we disagreed on a lot of issues I still respect your opinion and the inviting welcome

Q-Man: it was nice to see someone actually enthused about my avatar and vice versa, all the best

Spinoza: thanks for the invaluable conversational company, you provided me with questions I'll try answering

Kenan: thanks for the book details, I'm not much a fan of Dawkins but after I've gone through the origin of species I might just take a look at it in passing

Yeezeevee: although you seemed like you were spewing rubbish close to the end there I still admire the fact that you actually took time to research islamic organizations in Botswana LOL

Ishina: Although I only got to know you close to the end I still respect the fact that you took time to post on this post. thanks

    Ciao and W. Salaam

Salam to you too  streetrayDio.,  You are a nice guy.  Rascals  building cults  on internet.,  these guys lost their faith for no good reason and now they gang up on  people like you. They are acting like Darwin's monkeys.  Don't worry alsaeedm  will teach all that they need to get back their faith. I was under the impression that you will do a better job than alsaeedm, but  now  I realize   a nice guy like you will have no chance of educating this mob  about Islam/Porphet/Quran.

well  Islam in South Africa is quite famous  streetray.   Sheik Ahmed Deedat was a such a famous guy, you can not learn about Islam without reading him. Sorry what i said about Hamza Yusuf  was not hate but fact. The guy was a male nursing student and Indeed he charges quite a hefty amount if you want listen to his lecture. As far as research in  islamic organizations concerned, I did that for a long time., to start with   I learnt a bit of Shia Islam in home  from mothers, aunts   etc...,  confused thoroughly and after that more from reading & thinking about Quran/hadith/Islamic history . Now everything is very clear streetray.

But Please realize Islam is different from Islam of  Hamza Yusuf  or Sheik Ahmed Deedat.

    with best wishes
    yeezevee

The usual stuff..same as everyone else..

it wasn't that bad. Although his sole purpose w O0as to make fun of all 3 religions.

No it wasn't just about making fun, he actually goes through and debunks the religions, showing how all religions have basically the same agendas, same claims with no evidence, etc, and same methods e.g indoctrination. Its very good.
