Second time , my second family (native americans) invited me
to their sundance ceremony and I had gone for five years straight. The last
time I went (2002) i went for a walk to the creek about a mile away to do some
retro and introspection. I had left christianity and was searching for god. My
family thought their sacred ceremony would help give me some insight.

On my way back to the arbor where the ceremony was going on, I started to
feel dizzy and weak. I saw an old woman and begged her for some water. She
said she didnt have any cold water. I begged again, and said warm water would be fine.
She had her grandson give me some water, and i sat down on a wooden bench.
Things suddenly went fuzzy and I couldnt hear anything, then heard the woman
shouting for me to drink the water. I fell off the bench and passed out.
I have no idea how much time went by. Suddenly I saw a group of people/spirits.
they were amazingly beautiful! I felt nothing but perfect love, perfect peace,
perfect joy, and absolute bliss! One of the spirits spoke to me telepathically
*only way I can explain that lol* and she(?) invited me to join them. But I could
choose to stay if I wanted to. The decision was absolutely unconditional without
any judgement of any sort. Then I said the most profound thing Ive ever said.
"can i take a raincheck? I have some unfinished business back home" LMAO!!!
They all emulated so much unconditional love towards me, and they were all smiling.
They were so gentle, it was mind blowing. Then someone was dripping ice water on
my forehead and mouth. I started coming to, but everything was still fuzzy, and
I faded in and out for some time. They called an ambulance, and they were putting
ice packs directly on my heart. They were screaming (most annoyingly, I might add)
my name, and I was getting pissed cuz I was floating away so peacefully, and they
kept interrupting that, bringing me back to consciousness. I had heat stroke.
it took a long time for me to be fully conscious, and when I did, the med tech from
the ambulance was beside me still screaming my name. Then he said, "damn, you were
a gonner, we weren't sure you were going to pull through!" It took 4 IV bags of
fluid to fully hydrate me again, and I was reminded of all the weight and pain the
human body carries.
