Interesting Personalities Born as Muslim in the History of Islam

I was reading about a fascinating Character from Sudan. Sudan is an interesting country which is at cross roads now as it split in to North Sudan and South Sudan on the basis of religion. So I was writing something on the future of that OIL FILLED COUNTRY , Countries like that are the Pawns in modern Oil world and the future of South and North Sudanese people. In that I came across a fascinating person " Mahmoud Mohammed Taha" Let us learn about such people in Islam.

Mahmoud Mohammed Taha, ( 1909 – 18 January 1985; Arabic: محمود محمد طه) also known as Ustaz Mahmoud Mohammed Taha, was a Sudanese thinker a leader and engineer. He has revolutionary ideas about the second message of Islam. The regime of Sudanese President Gaafar Nimeiry executed him for his views, for which he had been accused of apostasy.[1] Mahmoud Mohammed Taha and other people formed the Republican Brotherhood political party in October 1945. He had a new conception of Islam and he issued numerous books to explain his ideas. One of his most important books is “ The Second Message of Islam". The book was in Arabic and it was translated in English by Dr. Abdullahi Ahmed An-Na'im . Beside the Second Message of Islam Mahmoud Mohammed Taha issued number of books in Arabic among them:

   1. The Middle East Problem. "Mushkilat Assharq Al-Awsat"
   2. This is my Path. "Qul Hadhihi Sabieli"
   3. Mohammed's Path. "Tareiq Mohammed"
   4. The Message of Prayer. " Risalat Assalat"
   5. The Challenge Facing the Arabs. "Al-Tahaddi Alladhi Yuagihu Al-Arab"
