"I think that does it for me, after reading this ruling and these posts, as of today, i renounce my faith in Islam.

Both you Shia and Sunni sicken me with your Sex slaves and your prostitution (i.e. Muta) , can't you see what a joke you all are to the outside world. The other religions may be corrupt to the core, but non are so openly disgusting about it as you are."

^ Yes good idea. However after browsing that forum I don't think many of the members will like us ex-Muzzies over here. Some are open supporters of militants.

Good on her. The sex slaves was the final straw for me too. Any religion that allows that, that has a prophet who condoned it, is not the sort of religion I would want to follow.

It disgusts me beyond measure to know that I once believed in Islam, but did not have a clue about this darker part of its past even though it is all throughout the hadiths, hadiths I actually read.

Its amazing how you see things glaring at you once you get just one truth. The whole house comes tumbling down.

No, I think she is right, it is prostitution. It is selling sex that is called a temporary marriage, which is no different than a hooker and her clients temporary arrangement, which again, like mutah, can go one for how ever long the guy wants to pay for if its good money. Its a financial arrangment in exchange for sex.

That was the subject that began my journey out of Islam. I couldn't believe that Islam advocated slavery and that it allowed the slave masters to have sex with the slaves. It seriously baffles me that this was rationalized by me initially and that muslim reverts rationalize that bullcrap.

It took a while for me to get the courage to say to myself (not in so many words) "

Islam forbade drinking, gambling, and looking at a females with sexual desire, but not the owning, buying, and selling of other human beings! And the slave master under islamic law has a right to have sex with their slaves?! WTF???!!!"

A serious misunderstanding here! What the kuffar see as a sex act[they are mentally deficient!] is actually a beautiful rite of passage by which the impure slaves become stuck on to Islam.
Since they are slaves they need to be purified many times over.

Yes.

This was one thing that a lovely hijabi friend of mine was shocked to hear about (as were most of us in the room, it was one of those deen study group things) and she kept asking questions to the lady who was leading it. We were all trying to understand. I had never been religious even though I was still "muslim" then, so I was just like "Whatever, just another fucked up thing in Islam. When is this thing over?" I'd heard about it before but WTF was I going to do? We assumed it was one of those things that don't apply to life today, so why would we care about it?

But now I really want to contact this girl. She has married (happily, I think) and moved away. But she thought like me in several things, and now being where I am, I want to corrupt her
or actually tell her she was right about her doubt and to not brush that away, but listen to it. Maybe even her husband will leave Islam in time too.

Rather be forgotten than remembered for giving in.

Mutah is basically a legalized form of prostitution. Indian Muslims make a contract with wealthy Arabs to temporarily give their daughters to marriage in exchange for money. When the Arab is done with the girl, the marriage is over and the girl is sent to her parents.

i see nothing wrong with muta marriage, then again i see nothing wrong with prostitution. let people do whatever they want

and you know, i actually was a member of that forum, the racism in there sickens me, I've lost respect for Iranians cuz of that
