Basically its Quran-Sunnah debate and rhetoric between the TTP and Army maulvis. TTP is justifying their barbarity by calling the Army and Taliban opponents kafirs and murtads for 'siding with America against Muslims', hence deserving to be killed in various incidents, while the Army maulvi is countering him by stating that what the TTP is doing is fitnah and violence that specifically targets Muslims in the end, hence they dont deserve to call themselves 'mujahid' and are the enemy!

Cheers mate, interesting.

Maybe the army guy would say what they are doing would be OK, if only they were exlusively targetting non Muslims?

Anyway, once the TTP set themselves up as judge, jury and executioner, there is no end to the violence they allow themselves to perpetrate - any dead or wounded can easily be justified because of the higher cause. And that is the problem. The extremity of the impulse to takfir and have holy self righteous in your manner.
