interesting article.
The meaning behind the word Gay appears to the Arab world (at least the arab world perceived by the writer of the article) is a lifestyle manner, a way of perceiving the world, to be gay is to be someone declaring a stance against Islam.
But to engage in homosexuality activity is not threatening the order of things thus does not to be quashed by the power seeking rulers.
What is the difference between engaging in homosexual activity and declaring and identifying oneself as Gay?
As a person with a homosexual thought now and then, I find it quite liberating not having to live in a world where you are either Gay or not. My English friends are always trying to define who is gay and straight, I prefer just going with the flow. They would get highly suspicious of me if I slept with a guy, they would immediately call me gay and see me in that way. They would put on the whole attitude of 'well i'm uncomfortable with it but I will accept that you do it'.
One of the reasons I don't just play around between staright and gay, between men and ladies is because my friends are always attempting to concretely define me, and if i were to fuck a guy one day they would be like 'hah! i knew it, you're gay'. Well you can call me that all you want, it's annoying being persecuted but it's not quite true, I would prefer a BJ from a chico anyday, I only fucked this dude because i aint got bitches giving my fill, I watch straight porn anyway, gay porn is fucking gross.
so fuck the labels.
anyway....what was i talking about?
