Cannot reply with quote to last poster

There is some sort of bug in the forum that will not allow me to quote the last poster of a thread.

In the bottom-right corner of every post in a thread there are usually two options "Reply" and "Quote". However with the last post of a thread there is only the "Reply" option. The "Quote" option is missing.

The error occurs in both IE and Google Chrome. Haven't checked other browsers.

That's because it's the last post before yours. If you do want to quote it however don't use the Quick Reply box but hit the "Reply" button instead then you will see it underneath and you can quote the post from there.

Yup, it's deliberate. Why? Because if you provide a quote button in the last post people will just use it without thinking, even when it's completely unnecessary (which it usually is). If you have just read the post someone is responding to, it's pointless then having to scroll past a quote of exactly the same post. We removed it to help prevent posts being filled up with quotes that aren't needed, and it works.
