some historians think that michelangelo was drawing god in a human brain. very few people knew what one looked like at the time; but michelangelo had dissected cadavers and would have known. it even has the hint of a brain stem. if true this would have been a great “fuck you” to the pope whom he was not friendly with but also would have meant god was in a human brain, or created by man.

Tumblr post Cheesy this just made my week/. I can't look at this painting again

True... God is an illusion and imagination existed to the human mind. That's why our brain need to affirmatively disproving the existence of God.

Sometimes I wonder if this guy makes his posts using some kind of Post.random() function of some sorts. Half the goddamn words don't even fit together :S

He's already passed the Turing test too...

Michelangelo was always a controversial figure, often at odds with the religious institutions that commissioned him. He was certainly a Christian though, no doubt about that. If this could be shown to be a dig at religion at all, then it was only a dig at the Catholic Church and their warping of what he considered Christly.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

For some reason this speculation sounds a but similiar to the way muslims keep seeing "allah" in clouds, trees fishes and whatnot

The historians might be over analyzing the shape in my opinion.

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living
