  • New Ex-Muslim
     OP - August 15, 2012, 01:53 AM

My real name is Juheb Hussain. I've been a Muslim with doubts since last year, and finally decided to leave for good about 2-3 months ago. I'm a teenager who lives in a heavily Muslim community, nobody knows I'm a Muslim except for people at my school. They were really surprised, usually they'd here about Christians or Hindu's become an atheist or a Muslim. but never a Muslim becoming an Atheist (though I'm not atheist, I have chose between that and agnosticism.)

I do talk to my family (sisters, aunts, cousins and all) about doubts with Islam but they'd always end of saying the same ignorant answer (the Quran has miracles being discovered now, Islam is the absolute truth.) And from there I stop. I'm young and if my family were to know I left Islam I will be either treated with time consuming Islam classes and infamousy within my family or just be shunned away. I plan on telling them when I have a job so I can support myself against any decision they make.

Hopefully the forum will teach me more factual information against Islam, glad to be here.

welcome and i know your pain. We are here to help you fulfil the goal which is leaving islam and being able to be open about it

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.
