  • Arabic word for universe
     OP - August 02, 2012, 10:29 PM

some times muslims try to translate arabic word "samaa" as "universe" instead of heave/sky. By doing Little bit of googling i found the arabic word for "universe" is "alkaun"......can anyone verify that arabic word for universe is "alkaun"

Disbelief doesn't justify getting tortured in eternal hell

As a youngster living in Arabic countries, "Sama'" was always the word we used for the sky.

"Alkaun" was always used to describe the earth and what's beyond it.

But I don't know what's the "professional" description of those two words. I doubt it's any different.
