  • Are there any passages...
     OP - September 16, 2012, 10:10 AM

Just need a help on this one because im soon going to face arguments for that.

Are there any passages in the Qur'an and Hadith that explicitly states a permission for muslims to kill people for insulting the prophet?. I still havent found one that indicates so, i find the ones that most muslim quotes are either vague or not even relevant at all.

    Thanks.

Well the consensus is that insulting, mocking or belittling the Prophet all constitute kufr, and the kafir is to be executed.

I'm sure there's more, but the only hadith I can remember is this:

Al-Nasaa’i narrated (4071) that Abu Barzah Al-Aslami said: A man spoke harshly to Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq and I said, ‘Shall I kill him?’ He rebuked me and said, ‘That is not for anyone after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) .’” (Saheeh al-Nasaa’i, 3795)

well., there are some direct verses and some indirect verses + silly hadith which allows believers to persecute/kill those who insult Islam and Prophet of Islam. But there are some smart well educated nice Muslims who don't take Quran as literal word of allahdoll but some sort of time dependent.. ..event intended revelation( whatever that may be )..  any ways here are some Cato..   Let me put here  the classic verses that says kill those who insult prophet

    Quote
33:57 Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.

33:60 Truly, if the Hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease, and those who stir up sedition in the City, desist not, We shall certainly stir thee up against them: Then will they not be able to stay in it as thy neighbours for any length of time:

33:61  They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain

This is funny this is actually the case that is going on with that "Muslim Innocence" movie.. In other words such  insults on Muhammad/alleged prophet of Islam  are going on since his times.

To see the similarities Muslim innocence movie and those verses .. Please read other verses around them in that chapter 33..

    http://www.oneummah.net/quran/book/33.html or at http://quran.com/33

We will discuss  more on  this subject

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

Wasn’t the ‘peaceful’ invasion of Mecca a time when poets (one with children) murdered in their beds for satirising Muhammad?
