     OP - July 04, 2014, 08:41 PM

    Hey,

So my name is Ryan-Adam and I'm half Lebanese and half English (don't ask how or why). So I've been browsing the site for a while, some extremely complwiing views on certain things - eye opening really.

So I was born a Muslim, it didn't really play too much of a role in my life until I started practicing when I was 15. This lasted for three years, but as I started learning more about the world - the more I started to doubt.

As I started doubted, the questions flowed. Whenever I asked anyone of authority I was just shunned and told not to aak such questions. I feel that as a human it is natural to feel the need to know, right?

I remember last year that my aunt died prematurely due to poor medical practice, yet obviously an autopsy wasn't carried out. Having studied medical sciences this infuriated me. So now that doctor can continue to extort patients from their money whilst practicing poorly. Is human life of any worth in Islam? Or does the integrity of how god works his way of more valuable than life?

Ramadan is amongst us, and I'm distancing further and further away from Islam. Seeing the hypocrisy that clouds Islam is eye opening when you're looking from the outside in.

Anyway, that's enough from me. I can't wait to get more integrated with you lot.

    Welcome. parrot

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I'm honestly so glad there are people like myself out there...I was worried that I was the only one  who questioned Islam.

lol... of course you can. Just because you don't believe in Islam anymore doesn't mean you have to suddenly start being a different person or saying different things etc...

Most ex-Muslims still live with their Muslim family, friends and community - as I do - and so (on the outside at least) not much necessarily has to change, unless you want it to.
