Discussion here sometimes uses images of rejecting everything, or continuing to live different lives in different places.
There was a comment about wearing a fashionable Hijab and showing one's neck, which gave me the impression there is a continual testing of boundaries and re-enforcing of them by people with certain mindsets.
I understand this to be part of a continual process of change, that with careful planning and thought may lead to interesting results.
I understand us humans are very easily habituated into things, so what is needed is lots of gentle "nudging" as well as full on clarity about different perspectives.
Attacks do lead to defensive and counter attacks. Evangelical beliefs are particularly fascinating because they engender attacking as a form of defence.
Is it possible to create a continuum of different types of beliefs, so that someone who is moving from one place to another in their beliefs may have a suggested series of stepping stones instead of having to jump a ravine?
What would a series of small steps look like for a doubter?
What would a series of small steps away from their thinking for a believer look like?
