    Good to see focus is also being aimed at helping girls in the Muslim community.

    I've know for many years through my ex-wife's work with Muslim women's group that there is a massive amount of sexual abuse in the Muslim community that is swept under the carpet for fear of shame and being blamed, (which more than often happens when a girl speaks up about sexual abuse.)

    Yup which doesn't help the other girls as it doesn't nip the problem in the bud. They need to be shamed in their communities, not protected!

    What about the paedophilia in the mosques?

    I can guarantee you that there have been hundreds of cases covered up. My best friend was abused by an imam at his house. Everyone in the community knows about it. But the bearded Santa Claus looking MF'er is still free shopping around Marksies.
    No free mixing of the sexes is permitted on these forums or via PM or the various chat groups that are operating.

    I don't know if you remember a newspaper called Eastern Eye. But I remember them covering a story in Birmingham about a girl being abused by an imam and how the Muslim community kept it hush because of the baisti backlash. Well there were angry letters coming in about how the paper was wrong to publish the story.

    WTF!??

    Yep I know of a few cases myself. One Shiekh who is was called to get rid of a "Jinn"  Roll Eyes in a girl ended up abusing her.

    I can't believe it! A girl that I was once dating from Bradford told me how she once went to see a pir baba because she was feeling depressed and thought someone had put a taweez on her. Well, this was AFTER she told me that her friend went to that same pir about feeling ill all the time and the pir said that in order to cure her she will have to 'loosen your knot'. Meaning pull down your salwar and let me screw you. The girl actually debated with herself whether or not to do it.

    I'm glad it didn't work between us.

    Would really help if people didn't believe in this mumbo-jumbo superstitious shit wouldn't it? They can't distinguish between reality and fiction so get sucked in by this crap.

    Unfortunately I think it is a case of short term pain for longer term gains. There will be collateral in trying to change things. I'd probably feel sad but not guilty.

    I didn't let my ex-husband send my daughter to the local mosque because the koran teacher hadn't been police-checked. There were a lot of rumours going round about him but it didn't seem to be a problem for other parents. Maybe some people should take of their veils so they see what's in front of them. Huh?
