I agree with panoptic 100% on this, also for me its not only in middle east that I don't want nuclear weapons but in the whole wide world..but if the big dogs like US and others(along with Israel and Pakistan) can have it,not to mention Iraq as their threat then I don't see why Iran shouldn't acquire one irrespective of who is running the government(Shia Theocrats or not)

well I too don't want nuclear weapons in the whole wide world., but the big dogs have it., Now question is, is it ok for little dogs to have it and what do they do with them?

Will these little dogs with their shouting puppies can have enough control not to black mail little tiny puppies??? and Cato do you think these big dogs blackmailing little dogs with their nuclear weapons?? Think about Cuba and AMRIKA

Why do these little dogs need Nuclear weapons anyway?? if they can have then, why not every home dog who can spare some 10 million dollars?? can they keep a nuclear weapon in home??

Ban every country from having it or allow everyone the right to have it because I see no reason why other states should have it if some can't have none based on their fears. Its simple

Ok.. that is very simple BUT WHO SHOULD DO THAT? you see saying ban this and ban that is easy.,

I don't think there is a double standard here, the problem Iran has like North Korea is they have signed the nuclear non proliferation treaty which prohibits you from making nuclear weapons, this treaty also requires inspections for compliance.

Iran can withdraw from this treaty like North Korea did which will result in more sanctions along with being labelled a rogue nuclear state,Iran can also comply with the treaty which will probably be the best option for them.

If you are smart enough to figure out how to make nuclear weapons without help from others like India,Pakistan and Israel have done you can have them, i should point out Israel,Pakistan and India have not signed the non proliferation treaty so they are not bound by the terms and conditions of that treaty.
Why do people only single out Israel when Pakistan and India also have nuclear weapons and have not signed the NPT?

Iran are not in compliance with the terms of the non proliferation treaty which is why they have problems, a good website on Irans programs-

I don't think it is a good idea for people called Mad Mullah's to be in control of nuclear weapons, a secular Iran run by people like Maryam Namazie would not concern me if they had a nuclear bomb
