Yeah, I'm so glad I'm not teaching it to the kiddies. I remember when I was a child my cousin (still a fundamentalist Christian) said my mother would go to hell because she's Hindu. I was so scared for my mother. It does take a while to finally get rid of the notion of hell.

I remember this Tablighi dude telling us "You know we need to preach Islam to the people here. You don't even want to see a chicken burned alive in the fire right? So we must tell them about Islam so that they won't go to Hell."

I think even then I thought to myself - this Tablighi dude is more merciful than the Most Merciful.
