  • Two leading UK Muslim charities forced to close Bank accounts
     OP - January 03, 2009, 12:35 AM

The Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) has received a 30 day notice from Barclays to close their bank account.

Interpal has received notification from their bank, the Islamic Bank of Britain (IBB), that Lloyds TSB (their clearing bank) has served notice on IBB to cease all dealings with Interpal.

    There maybe more.

oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!"

    Not so Smart Assmodeus.

Do I really need to connect all the dots together? Some of UK's highest profile Islamic charity that also operates in what are aledged to be some of the world's terror hot spots are having their bank accounts closed.

Whats happening in Gaza now? How will they raise money and send aid without bank accounts?

    from a news source

..."American pressure is believed to be behind Barclays's decision, but the lack of any explanation from the bank has caused many in Britain's Muslim communities to believe the decision is part of broader discrimination against Islam. "...

I'm sure it will fuel the conspiracy theories about American and Jewish influences in the banking world.

Hello AG. It is customary when someone posts something, that we ask them for a link. A summary is sometimes sufficient but your readers sometime want more.

You also should account for the fact that we often get copy/paste drive-bys, which puts many of us on edge, so it is usually good form to follow a post with a link for the more curious.

PS: And an advice that I gave to my younger siblings: Drop the arrogant facade. It is a stinking perfume. I dropped mine in my early Twenties and I am a much happier person for it.

"Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, 'Tell the Apostle the truth.'"
