  • Allah's Despised Humans & Animals
     OP - March 10, 2009, 10:45 AM

"All Animals are equal, some are more equal than the others" so says George Orwell's Animal Farm.

Allah thinks on similar lines, some of His animals are loved, some hated & some even despised!

Apparently cats are loved, based on the unknown hadith of Muezza( Islamonline chose to ignore my question on this issue  Cry  )

    Allah's hated animals,

Take apes, pigs, and dogs,  Here's what the Quran says about them:

And ye know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how We said unto them: Be ye apes, despised and hated! 2:65 (

Worse is the case of him) whom Allah hath cursed, him on whom His wrath hath fallen and of whose sort Allah hath turned some to apes and swine. 5:60
So when they took pride in that which they had been forbidden, We said unto them: Be ye apes despised and loathed! 7:166

Therefor his likeness is as the likeness of a dog: if thou attackest him he panteth with his tongue out, and if thou leavest him he panteth with his tongue out. Such is the likeness of the people who deny Our revelations. 7:176

So beware disbelievers!!! If you disbelieve Allah's revelations-you will end up looking & panting like a Dog. How many of us unbelievers now look like dogs-please raise your hands.  Cheesy

But there are some things that Allah likes even less than apes, pigs, and dogs. Yes, they are humans, but unbelieving humans

Lo! the worst of beasts in Allah's sight are the ungrateful who will not believe. 8:55

Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings. 98:6

See?Allah sure has created one & all, man & beast, yet he likes some of His beasts less than others, & he hates those humans who don't believe. Its that simple... Non-muslims are "the worst beasts in Allah's sight." Yet Allah hates some humans even more than these, He can't tolerate their existence...

Quran Sura IX.5: ?Then, when the sacred months have passed away, kill the idolaters wherever you find them ?? These words are usually cited to show what fate awaits idolaters. Well, what of the context? The words immediately after these just quoted say, ?and seize them, besiege them and lie in ambush everywhere for them.? Ah, you might say, you have deliberately left out the words that come after those. Let us quote them then, ?If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, allow them to go their way. God is forgiving and merciful.? Surely these are words of tolerance, you plead. Hardly: they are saying that if they become Muslims then they will be left in peace.

    In Allah's sight:  Old geezer

    So Muslims=best
    cats=almost best
apes, pigs, dogs & Jews=loathsome but to be kept alive in most circumstances
idolaters= killed on sight unless they become Muslims.

Hey, I LOVE cats and frankly think they don't get the credit they deserve.  One of the few things I like about Islam is it's treatment of cats.  But I hate it more for it's treatment of those who don't toe the line.

The thing about snakes is quite interesting. Muhammad believed that some snakes are jinns. If you see one, you should give it three warnings, and then if it returns, kill it! The reason for warning it is because it could be a Muslim. So if it is a muslim snake, it will leave, but if it returns, it means its an evil jinn and kill it!

    How absurd!

Mo & Snakes! This could be made into a new thread by itself! thnkyu again aliadiere!

Some stuff Mo said\is reported to have said regarding snakes:

    (1)       From Muslim's collection of Hadith [1], Book 026, Number 5557:

Abu as-Sa'ib, the freed slaved of Hisham b. Zuhra, said that he visited Abu Sa'id Khudri in his house, (and he further) said: I found him saying his prayer, so I sat down waiting for him to finish his prayer when I heard a stir in the bundles (of wood) lying in a comer of the house. I looked towards it and found a snake. I jumped up in order to kill it, but he (Abu Sa'id Khudri) made a gesture that I should sit down. So I sat down and as he finished (the prayer) he pointed to a room in the house and said: Do you see this room? I said: Yes. He said: There was a young man amongst us who had been newly wedded. We went with Allah's Messenger (to participate in the Battle) of Trench when a young man in the midday used to seek permission from Allah's Messenger to return to his family. One day he sought permission from him and Allah's Messenger (after granting him the permission) said to him: Carry your weapons with you for I fear the tribe of Quraiza (may harm you). The man carried the weapons and then came back and found his wife standing between the two doors. He bent towards her smitten by jealousy and made a dash towards her with a spear in order to stab her. She said: Keep your spear away and enter the house until you see that which has made me come out. He entered and found a big snake coiled on the bedding. He darted with the spear and pierced it and then went out having fixed it in the house, but the snake quivered and attacked him and no one knew which of them died first, the snake or the young man. We came to Allah's Apostle and made a mention to him and said: Supplicate to Allah that that (man) may be brought back to life. Thereupon he said: Ask forgiveness for your companion and then said: There are in Medina ?Jinns? who have accepted Islam, so when you see any one of them, pronounce a warning to it for three days, and if they appear before you after that, then kill it for that is a devil.

    (2)       From Muslim's collection of Hadith Book 026, Number 5558:

Asma' b. 'Ubaid reported about a person who was called as-Sa'ib having said: We visited Abu Sa'id Khudri. When we had been sitting (with him) we heard a stir under his bed. When we looked we found a big snake, the rest of the hadith is the same. And in this Allah's Messenger is reported to have said: Verily in these houses there live aged (snakes), so when you see one of them, make life hard for it for three days, and if it goes away (well and good), otherwise kill it for (in that case) it would be a nonbeliever. And he (the Holy Prophet) said (to his Companions): Go and bury your companion (who had died by the snake bite).

So non believing, idolatrous snakes remain, good Muslim  snakes leave?  rofl

    (3)       Sunan of Abu Dawud, Book 41, Number 5236:

    Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri:

Muhammad ibn Abu Yahya said that his father told that he and his companion went to Abu Sa'id al-Khudri to pay a sick visit to him. He said: Then we came out from him and met a companion of ours who wanted to go to him. We went ahead and sat in the mosque. He then came back and told us that he heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri say: The Apostle of Allah  said: Some snakes are jinn; so when anyone sees one of them in his house, he should give it a warning three times. [4521]. If it return (after that), he should kill it, for it is a devil.

     (4)       Sunan of Abu Dawud, Book 41, Number 5240:

    Narrated AbdurRahman Ibn Abu Layla:

The Apostle of Allah  was asked about the house-snakes.  He said:  When you see one of them in your dwelling, say:  I adjure you by the covenant which Noah made with you, and I adjure you by the covenant which Solomon made with you not to harm us. Then if they come back, kill them.

    (5)       Sunan of Abu Dawud Book 41, Number 5229:

    Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud:

The Prophet  said: Kill all the snakes, and he who fears their revenge does not belong to me.

    (6)       Sahih Muslim, Book 026, Number 5544:

Salim, on the authority of his father. reported Allah's Apostle as saying: Kill the snakes having stripes over them and short-tailed snakes, for these two types cause miscarriage (of a pregnant woman) and they affect the eyesight adversely. So Ibn 'Umar used to kill every snake that he found. Abu Lubaba b. 'Abd al-Mundhir and Zaid b. Khattab saw him pursuing a snake, whereupon he said: They were forbidden (to kill) those snakes who live in houses.

Hear that Muslims? So much for Islam being a scientific faith, snakes with stripes cause miscarriage & spoil eyesight!!! And this is from the reliable collection of Sahih Muslim.  Roll Eyes

    On the same vein-

    (7)       Sunan of Abu Dawud, Number 5232:

Ibn Umar reported the Apostle of Allah as saying:  Kill snakes, kill those which have two streaks and those with small tails, for they obliterate he eyesight and cause miscarriage.  [4519].

Maybe people could've scared Mo with striped snakes & small tailed snakes Wink? He had quite a phobia of those!

    Huh.

I thought that one of the charactersitics of Jinn were that they were made of smokeless fire.  Some of them are just plain old snakes then?

(I'm figuring, when the snake doesn't bugger off after the third day, and they hack it up and it doesn't disintegrate into a puff of ... fire...  they'd be left wondering)

     yes

"It may happen that the enemies of Islam may consider it expedient not to take any action against Islam, if Islam leaves them alone in their geographical boundaries... But Islam cannot agree to this unless they submit to its authority by paying Jizyah"

Thanks for that Aksel, thats' one of the Quran's nice bits, but again Muslim sources are extremely inconsistent, all animals simply aren't equal according to Mohammed's hadiths!

I have discovered more such trivia!  Wink
    Sahih Bukhari extracts:
    Volume 3, Book 29, Number 54:
    Narrated Hafsa:

Allah's Apostle said, "It is not sinful (of a Muhrim) to kill five kinds of animals, namely: the crow, the kite, the mouse, the scorpion and the rabid dog."

    Volume 3, Book 29, Number 55:
    Narrated Aisha:

Allah's Apostle said, "Five kinds of animals are harmful and could be killed in the Haram (Sanctuary). These are: the crow, the kite, the scorpion, the mouse and the rabid dog."

    Volume 3, Book 29, Number 57:
Narrated 'Aisha the wife of the Prophet:

Allah's Apostle called the salamander a bad animal, but I did not hear him ordering it to be killed."
Well the salamander is spared of death, even if Allah's apostle somehow dislikes it!Alhamdullilah for the salamander!!!  Cheesy
Poor mouse, Allah also hates Mickey Mouse! How does that make you feel Mickey? dance

One more animal Allah's Apostle slightly, only slightly dislikes: mastigure!

    Sahih Bukhari
    Volume 7, Book 67, Number 444:
    Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

The Prophet said, "I do not eat mastigure, but I do not prohibit its eating."

    Volume 7, Book 67, Number 445:
    Narrated Khalid bin Al-Walid:

Allah's Apostle and I entered the house of Maimuna. A roasted mastigure was served. Allah's Apostle stretched his hand out (to eat of it) but some woman said, "Inform Allah's Apostle of what he is about to eat." So they said, "It is mastigure, O Allah's Apostle!" He withdrew his hand, whereupon I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Is it unlawful?" He said, "No, but this is not found in the land of my people, so I dislike it." So I pulled the mastigure towards me and ate it while Allah's Apostle was looking at me.

So the reason for Allah's Apostle's dislike? It is not found in the land of his people!!What happened to equality of all Muslims regardless of skin color or land of origin? Roll Eyes

Mohammed also gave instructions how to kill geckos, here thay are!
    Muslim, Book 026, Number 5562:
'Amir b. Sa'd reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) commanded the killing of geckos, and he called them little noxious creatures.

    Muslim Book 026, Number 5564:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who killed a gecko with the first stroke for him is such and such a reward, and he who killed it with a second stroke for him is such and such reward less than the first one, and he who killed it with the third stroke for him is such and such a reward less than the second one.

It seems along with Mohammed's child abuse,Jew abuse, idolater abuse etc his animal abuse also knew no bounds! Poor, poor geckos! How many innocent geckos must have been slaughtered  by Muslims coz Allah's Apostle said so & naturally they'd try to kill the gecko in 1st, 2nd or 3rd shot & get the promised reward...   sad

World renowned historian Will Durant"...the Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precious good, whose delicate complex order and freedom can at any moment be overthrown..."

I dont like geckos either, but putting a fatwa on them is taking it to the extreme
