  • Forum Blocker
     OP - April 17, 2009, 08:18 AM

Do you find yourself constantly repeating yourself, just so you can read your own words? Have you argued exactly the same point a thousand times over? Do you kid yourself you are contributing to a worthwhile discussion? Then guess what - you are insane and this forum, like any other you (undoubtedly) belong to, is the asylum.

So do yourself a favour, use 'Forum Blocker'. everytime you feel the urge to repeat the same old bollocks to another faceless stranger, phone our special helpline, and one of our staff will come over and hit you very hard.

Good luck, it ain't easy, but in the words of one recovering Internet addict - ''Ahhh! Please stop, it hurts, no please, I will never get stuck in an ex muslim quagmire again, help, no, please, stop it. I want my mummy, I'm not really an activist, I'm a very naughty little boy who craves attention.'

Forum Blocker - kills the nerd inside - dead.

    Ha Ha.

I love that! Thats sums it up, doesn't it? Proving that you (well, not you Awais) are right and 'they' are WRONG! What could the motivation really be apart from pointless  self justificatiion? Me included, but after a year of it, it doesn't bother me in the slightest anymore that some twit in some other place wants to label him/herself as a Zionist/racist/ex muslim/current muslim/catholic/humanist, whatever. Just do it, and shut up about it - that's the way forward!! Afro

    Ha Ha.

So are you going to argue this point until you convince us all that you're right? Grin

Everyday, in their heads, ppl repeat 98% of the thoughts they had the previous day. Why should blogging be any different.

"Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, 'Tell the Apostle the truth.'"

Thanks Forum Blocker - you saved my life!

I was a hopeless addict. I used to lie to my friends and say I was "washing my hair" but I was really on the internet proving I was 'right'.

    Then I phoned Forum Blocker.

They came around within minutes, assessed my needs and gave me a damn good hiding. (I know I deserved it).

Now as soon as I start-up the computer I get hit over the head with a baseball bat.

    Thanks, Forum-Blocker!

Is that why you dont answer 98% of questions posed in posts?

I dont need the forum blocker lol i enjoy my internet time tremendously. Not just here but at other forums i am joined too.

people stop seeing it as some kind of crime and see it for what it is. An amazing technological marvel of the modern world that has given shy retiring people a chance to socialise in a way they couldnt before.

forums connect you to people from the other side of the planet. You make new friends. Have thrilling chats and funny ones. Sure there are frustrating ones too but the benefits to me far outweigh the negatives.

embrace the future you old fuddy duddy Tongue

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

I think it's fine as long as you don't get obsessive about it. I find it more stimulating than watching tv, which is what some people would otherwise be doing.
