  • About the tribe of Muhammad
     OP - June 02, 2009, 01:09 PM

Muhammad was a member of the tribe called "Quraish", right?
That tribe was notorious in his time, because it's members were all specialized in trade and doing business.
But how can he be analphabetic if he's specialized in doing business?

    Hmmm!   Thinking hard  Good question!

Do remember though that Muhammad was an orphan and perhaps orphans his benefactors overlooked the need to teach him his letters as a child?

But then, how was he able to do business as an adult?

I find it very odd that the leader of a trading tribe Sheikh al-Bat-ha (Abu-Talib) who raised Mohammed would not ensure that he learn to read.
