  • Yusuf Islam at Cropredy Festival
     OP - August 20, 2009, 11:12 AM

Singing "Peace Train" last weekend - I was going but my mate is ill and so I didn't go.

I'm pretty sure that's the sound of Richard Thompson's guitar playing with Yusuf and members of Fairport Convention playing Fiddle.

I would of loved to see that.  I'll never forget at the "Concert for New York" in Oct, '01, he sang "Peace Train".  If I'm not mistaken, it was the first time he sang that song in years.

I think its great Yusuf is now playing/making music again!

I saw an interview where he said his son asked him about learning to play the guitar...so he said it just felt right to start playing agian  Afro Smiley
