  • Are bugs in the uk getting bigger?
     OP - September 22, 2009, 08:21 PM

Well are they?  someone smart help a "lady" out here lol.

No seriously, this year has (for me) seen bigger spiders, bigger daddy long legs, just frankly bigger than most spiders I am comfortable picking up.

Of course nowhere near the size of Aussie spiders (no need to fear Os, you are still bigger than the rest of us lol) but still, they do seem larger.  I can even see their eyes, and the bastards seem to be smarter, actually dodging back and forth whilst I try to catch it to take outside safely (no I'm not a spider killer).

I did a google search, just a quick one, but some seem to suggest that global warming equals bigger bugs.  Is this true?

If this is true, is the biggest threat to man, not zombies, but rather mutant eight legged freaks that see us as dinner?  Terror couch

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

I rarely see bugs out where I live so I couldn't tell you

But I will see one thing-spiders, daddy long legs and all of that junk-none of them compare to cockroaches.

The day we get cockroaches in Britain is the day I migrate somewhere North.

I must say I've not noticed bit I did see a big black rat on my garden the other day, not seen one of those for years.

I've noticed more spiders. In the bedroom room, garage, and over the car (wing mirrors, rear number plate) ....

It is not the warm weather that is for sure. The spiders we have here are the size of a pin head. I am talking Mediteranian warm weather here.

Evolution? Everything is big so everything else needs to catch up? Sharks are Huge, Crocs are huge, so insects are becoming bigger.

    Well they seem bigger.

Me and my brother spent last night making our plans to defend ourselves when they mutate to even bigger proportions.

The plan involves, him freezing in terror and me saving his life. Lmao
