So why did our negroid ancestors have this protuding jaw and protuding teeth? Why did we lose it?
There's a load of theories floating around, but nothing conclusive as far as I know. I talked to my tutor who is an Anthropologist and he told me that it's difficult to study the area without being called a racist. I think this may have something to do with the society and history of race. Europe enslaved the African people for years, even Gandhi was racist. Because of this history many people don't like the idea of races, and try to ignore it, some embrace it and go a little overboard ( my cousins
).
Gandhi once said this:
"Ours is one continued struggle against degradation sought to be inflicted upon us by the European, who desire to degrade us to the level of the raw Kaffir, whose occupation is hunting and whose sole ambition is to collect a certain number of cattle to buy a wife with, and then pass his life in indolence and nakedness."
I'll have a root through the journals and books to see if there is any credible theory behind this.
We lost it because of living in caves during the ice age in Europe and Asia. It's bloody dark in them there caves and our ancestors kept walking face first into the walls.
Well that sounds pretty conclusive!
