I'm sure this has happend to other members, but sometimes my mind is so entrenched in the gutter, that I misread innocent titles and have to do a double take to read it again.

Todays current misread was this thread:

My rebuttel to 'Dr' Zakir Naik: Errors in genesis

But I actually read it as:

My rebuttel to 'Dr' Zakir Naik: Errors in genitals

Ayone else have a title they misread once?

Not a thread title but when I was a kid I remember singing "Ding dong merrily on high" at Primary School and sang the lyrics as:

"Houseman is Ex-Chelsea"

(It was: "Hosanna in excelsis!")

Also not a thread title, but once when round to see my mum and she'd just been given some new perfume, she gave the bottle to me to look at, and I was shocked as it seemed to be called 'CUNT'. Upon closer inspection, i realised it said CLINT. My mum couldn't work out why I found her perfume so funny.

Reminds me of my Moroccan (ex) mother-in-law who always said she liked to put any cash she got straight into her "cunt" so it would be safe.

I remember hearing about a kid who thought the old hymn said "Gladly the cross-eyed bear" at Sunday school. Also someone else who always heard the chorus of "The Israelite" as "His ears are alight".
