It's in the O.T even though most Christians now say N.T. abrogates O.T. Although I do understand how it is since the N.T. actually states that the O.T. can still be referred to for moral teaching and guidance and Jesus in the gospels says also to a boy to keep all the laws of the Torah i.e the 613 laws. Xtianity is just such a contradictory mess.

They would say that wouldnt they - much like Quran-onlys, who ignore the hadith.  Another commonlity exists though, both groups are happy to use these outmoded scripts when it suits though..

No doubt Qur'an only ignore all those hadiths which show Muhammad in bad light but when its convenient for them they use the good ones. Much like Xtians say O.t  is abrogated but then they use it to prove Jesus' divinity and that he was the messiah prophesised in the Old scripture. I spent 2 years studying this shit 4 A level luckily I was doing philosophy as well as part of course. One of my friends also started to doubt Xtianity after the 2 years of studying Luke's Gospel because he sniffed bullshit.

Actually Qur'an-onlys have a point. There's a hadeeth reported in Saheeh Muslim which reports that the prophet said not to write down what he said and just rely on oral tradition, or something along these lines.

Yes, sadly I think so too - quran-onlies will be the muslims of the future .. it will delay the downfall of Islam no doubt, but will at least weaken it in doing so.

I've tried to look for it, but I know the one you're talking about. From what I understand, Submitters rely on Quran 45:6 as well.

    Quote
    Book 042, Number 7147:

Abu Sa'id Khudri reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Do not take down anything from me, and he who took down anything from me except the Qur'an, he should efface that and narrate from me, for there is no harm in it and he who attributed any falsehood to me-and Hammam said: I think he also said:" deliberately" -he should in fact find his abode in the Hell-Fire.

I read also about reports of one of the Rashidoon Khalifa (I think Omar) that he was particularly harsh on people who write or report hadeeth.

mmm..interesting point. One hadith slows down  the downfall of Islam, quite spectacular in it sown right.

Oh, and it is from Sahih Muslim. I'm going to do a video on it Tongue
