African christians a threat to fossil evidence of evolution?

I read an article and heard on some videos that african christians are pressuring museums to hide the fossil evidence of evolution (esp. those related to human evolution such as homo habilis, homo erectus, etc) or to change the labels to call them human fossils instead.

The article is from 2006, but is this still a threat, or was a solution for this worked out?
