I'll bear that in mind, but I've already got a TV and I'm sure it's fine. It's just that I've never connected a TV up before and we have just moved into a new flat. There's wires sticking out of the wall - just assuming those are linked up to the Satellite dish/terrestrial antenna outside

- but they don't seem to work. Tried getting in touch with the landlord to ask him what these wires sticking out of the wall are for and whether they're supposed to be connected to my TV, but can't get through to him.
Gonna go outside now and walk around the house to see if I can even see a dish/antenna.
Post a pic.
lol^
Yeah, even DVDs are starting to get outdated because I just watch shit off my harddrive and have my xbox connected to my pc, so I can just download stuff on my main computer and watch it instantly on my big screen with my xbox.
Yup. IMO, that's pretty much the best way to go about it. Most of the newer TVs and computers are instantly compatible via USB, so you don't have to buy a special cable (which are almost impossible to find now) or do the X-Box rig. I'm sure it will be completely standard within 10 years or so and DVDs as common a format as VHS are today.
