    The universe.

Something lovely just happened. I was reminded of a friend who moved to Singapore 4 years ago and lost touch with, was thinking of her as I made a cup of tea.

Half an hour later I went to check my e-mail and she'd tracked me down and sent me a mail.

Love it when things like that happen.

I love good coincidences like that. My old best friend (who I just started talking to again) told me that he had a dream about us in the old days the day before I sent him the first email in 6 years.

    Funny how life is.

    I love...

my mother and her stretchmarks. When I was younger, I'd use my mother's tummy as a pillow and try and find 'my' stretchmarks and my sisters out of the many squiggly lines.

The scars/marks/wrinkles on our bodies are just our way of collecting souvenirs to remind us of our histories - be they good or bad. They remind us of our place in the journey of life, that we're not immortal, that we're fragile...  It also reminds me that my body is not external. That the scars on my body is associated with a memory and an emotion in my mind. Although at times I feel that my body is a hideous burden, the marks on it tell me otherwise. The pain and journey my body has been on has also been my journey in accepting the interconnectedness of my place in the world mentally and physically.

I love my best friend. We're both emotional roller coasters, nihilist losers, and impulsive arseholes.
There are times I wanna beat the living shit out of her, times I wanna murder her cat, and there were times she's left death threats in my voicemail, but we can't stop talking to each other for very long. We have attuned our manic episodes to compliment each other, and have had the most impetuous conversations in lonely carparks and shopping mall floors... once she even made me donate a fresh pack of cigarettes to a complete stranger... still don't know how I feel about that day.

We're so different, but so alike. She's impossible to live with, impossible to live without, and I have no idea what I'm gonna do with my life once she moves to Melbourne next year. Been trying to cut my self off from her, ignoring her to numb the thought of our  separation but it's hard to think of life without her.

You knew they were 'haram' right? We didn't, that's why I was allowed them when I was a kid. Now of course I eat whatever I want.

I don't remember, but we probably knew they were haraam, since I had older brothers and sisters. I remember them having jam in them, and I used to love them, they had this strange non-biscuit like taste.

Do you remember those jawbreakers? those giant balls of solidified sugar, many I used to screw my mouth up on these.

I vividly eating these crisps in a small yellow packet I think they were called corn puffs, something puffs though.

    You remember Wham Bars?

    Oh man, good ol' times.

30 years from now I'll be posting pictures of cocaine and saying: "you remember those drugs?"
