damn, I would love the chance to see the floyd live, or even just gilmour.

What would people here say is their favourite floyd album? I'm going to go against custom here and say division bell.

Yeah who would have thought a reggae version of Radiohead would work but it did Afro

z10 I'm strictly old school and typical I'm afraid. Dark Side of the Moon is one of my most re-listened to albums by any artist ever.

This one is dedicated to all gay people who gets screwd up and bullied every day  Smiley :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAfyFTzZDMM

Wow, I never noticed the gay couple kissing in that video before; the time I used to catch that video on MTV (yes, I watched MTV when I was in my teens, kill me now  Tongue), and it turned out that MTV Asia censored that video! WTF.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTV_Asia_Hitlist#Edited_Videos
    Quote
After the video for "Dirrty," Aguilera drew more controversy with her next single "Beautiful". In the video, two men were seen kissing each other and were deemed too racy for MTV viewers. Again, MTV Asia edited the video by completely removing the gay scenes out of the video. "Beautiful" became her next number one single and the edited version was played throughout MTV Asia.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

Gosh so many brilliant albums, but I'll say "Dark Side of the Moon" - not only coz it has so many outstanding tracks but it was my first PF album and I still remember when I rushed home after buying it (in 1973) and put it on and just thought "Wow!"

It was the album that the Beatles would have made if they'd lasted into the late 80's and got George Clinton in as producer  Afro

That's a good Beatles fanboy way of looking at it. XD

I got introduced to it, and to Prince in general, through a Touré piece that had Questlove saying the following:

“His best album to me is Sign of the Times,” said Ahmir.  “That’s his look-ma-no-hands record.  No one but him would put that coda at the end of “U Got the Look.”  No one but him would use the method called vary speed which, thus, you get the Camille sounding voice.  Basically it’s just him singing with the tape slowed down.  That’s some sick shit.  No one but him would omit the hi-hat in “It.”  No one but him would put backward drums on “Starfish and Coffee.”  No one but him would write a song like “Starfish and Coffee!”  And put that shit six on his record!  Artists today put all their eccentric shit way towards the end cuz they’re all worried about makin sure the first six songs are absolute bangers.  Meanwhile, he covers the whole spectrum of music in the first four songs.  He covered Santana, James Brown, Curtis Mayfield—just as far as styles—Joni Mitchell, Pink Floyd, all within the first five songs.  No one does epic shit like he does.  I consider that an unbelievable record.”
