I'm alright Yeez. Just saw someone post that vid on fb and got curious about whether what was said about the currency situation was true or not.

well there is some truth in that currency situation Artemis but AMRIKA problem is not currency/oil/ 5% rich folks owning 95% of  America resources and its powerful army/weapon resources supporting its ideology.  America has enough resources, enough money and enough intelligence in the country to solve its problem. But AMRIKA problem is different., its Govt is thinking that it is loosing global domination capabilities and the world is not listening to AMRIKA.

otherwise why would they need to go to war on Syria?

If it is for democracy they should have started with Arabia and Qatar regimes that are funding and funneling their oil money in to this war through heroes of Islam. Remove those regimes and make them democratic governments first.   Why has this Qatar regime has given 3 billion dollars to yahoos of Islam for replacing Assad regime?

Did Syria stop Oil/gas pipeline to Europe?  Why these SAND-LAND kings using Islam and  financing this war through ROGUES OF ISLAM to replace Assad regime? do they want Wahhabi-Alqueda  regime in Syria similar to 1990s Afghanistan TAILBONES   with a baboons from Mosques making noise in the name of Islam??

And if it is just for that Chemical weapons, AMRIKA  should have taken them out long back.,  100,000 or so died in this conflict and no one raised a finger ..but 350 or so died in that chemical weapon attack and for that they are going to send Syria to 7th century Islam?     They did pretty good job in Afghanistan first supporting Yahoos of Islam to kill their president and then planting Osama just to break Russian communism

AMRIKA doesn't realize how Islamic yahoos bite their Ass..

And why is this FRANCE puppeteers making noise for replacing Syrian regime? Are the winters getting cold there? Do they need Qatar pipeline to heat them up??

So many questions so many problems  Artemis.. America has enough land on this earth and enough resources to support its meager 350 or so million people .  but AMRIKA is not satisfied with that..

    Oh well life goes on.

Then there is nothing I can do to help, at least you have posted the video.

    @Topic;

I don't get the Russian government, this morning they seem to be in agreement with US that the Syria should place their chemical weapons under international control but now they don't seem to be enthusiastic about the new resolution. See this is why I think more permanent members from Africa,Latin America,Asia and Europe needs to be added otherwise this is just going to be US vs Russia on the table.

Edit: Ah, that explains their reluctance.

yeezevee asks for specific link on chemical weapons that Israel has and Cato gives "GOOGLE SEARCH LINK"
which link should read from that doodle search Cato? Today is 9/11 Cato..

Even if they have CWS.,  the difference is  Juice will wait until the last moment and will not use on themselves where as Muslim BUMS start using on themselves first and  Alooo hooo akbaars fools will take those things in to planes and fly in to building or go to houri houses in allah heavens. ..  in 2013l Israel has better weapons to make middle East in to solid Silicon but I am sure they realize that they too are living in Middle East unlike aloo ho akbaaar fools..

well  Amrican news says Syria's Arsenal Includes Tons of Sarin, VX and Mustard Gas

    Quote
The arsenal of chemical weapons that Syria says it is now willing to surrender is described as "particularly massive and diversified" and Syrian scientists have been working on a new agent that is even more lethal than sarin, according to a declassified intelligence document posted by the French Defense Ministry.

Complicating any attempt to destroy the arsenal is Syria's ability to "deliver its chemical weapons through a vast range of several thousand launchers" that include a battery of missiles, in addition to artillery shells and bombs dropped by planes.

The document posted on the French government's web site states that Syria began building its chemical weapons in the 1970s.

"Syria has long been equipped with a massive chemical arsenal, together with many related delivery systems," the report states.

In detailing the weapons being held by the regime of President Bashar al-Assad, the French intel also states that it is "diversified" and includes:

"Several hundreds of tons of sulfur mustard, stockpiled in its final form,
"Several tens of tons of VX. VX is the most toxic among the known chemical warfare agents,
"Several hundreds of tons of sarin, representing the bulk of the arsenal."
Sarin essentially paralyzes and suffocates its victims. Sulfur mustard, better known as mustard gas, penetrates even clothes to create blisters and burns on the skin, and when it is inhaled creates blisters on the lungs and damages membranes. VX is a nerve gas that paralyzes the diaphragm, suffocating the victim.

In an ominous note, the report states that "Syrian scientists have also worked on nitrogen mustard, a first generation vesicant agent, as well as neurotoxic organophosphorus compounds with toxicity level higher than sarin."

Today, Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan, and, to a lesser degree, Libya are in ruins, all dismembered or broken up by the power of the mighty American Raj.

Syria is clearly the next target of the American imperial bulldozer. After two years of brutal rebellion armed and financed by the US and its regional allies, Syria now faces devastation. Israel stands ready to sweep up the ruins of Syria.

    ...........

Pure black comedy. Shamelessly stealing Bush administration propaganda, the Obama White House has been actually warning that Syria’s chemical weapons (most of their raw materials came from Europe) pose a dire threat to the United States. Syria acquired chemical weapons to counter Israel’s large arsenal of nuclear weapons, originally supplied by France.

What we are seeing is the 21st century version of the new era of colonialism and imperialism, with a touch of crusader zeal thrown in. Today, the favoured euphemism is humanitarian intervention, but the song remains the same. Syria is not about poison gas or human rights: it’s about a proxy war against Iran. For France, it’s about reasserting its former colonial rule in Syria and Lebanon.

France rushed to join Britain, citing the killing of a French missionary. Russia and the US joined. The Second Opium War had begun. China was quickly defeated by the western powers and forced to open it ports to their commerce and begin consuming highly addictive opium grown in the British Indian Raj.

Look at current events in Syria in this historical light rather than all the indignation over chemical weapons in Syria. Besides, given that the weird Japanese cult, Aum Shinrikyo, managed to produce home-made Sarin, how do we know who really made Syria’s gas?

    Quote
Far more important, the US Congress has become seriously corrupted by special interest money – and that’s putting it gently. How else did all the Wall Street bankers escape punishment for their egregious financial frauds and theft?

Now, other wealthy special interest in America are beating the war drums and pulling the strings of their legislators. Israel is pushing the US hard to destroy its old foe Syria – which would remove the last Arab state capable of offering even modest military resistance to Israel.

    ..............................

And who will rule Syria after President Bashar al-Assad is deposed or killed? Today’s Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan hardly offer a promising example of Washington-guided democracy.

    ...........................
But the US chariot of the Juggernaut just keeps rolling along.

Huh?  that is NOT me writing.. NOT ME... it is a American guy go put him in jail..

well may there is some truth in what he is saying.. off course I can question some of his logic..

My own government is discussing Syria at the moment but the majority party is doing so in a way that I would call strong arm tactics. Many of the minority party members were never recalled to Parliament so Harper is stacking the deck in his favour. I have already written to him and my local MP asking both to support UN inspection and wait for these results. Canada already went through Afghanistan holding some of the most volatile sectors while America switched it's focus to Iraq. I have no desire to see Canada play a clean up role for American while it goes off on it's next great adventure(war).

To me Syria has become just another pawn, as it was during the cold war, for the 3 major spheres of influence in the world; Russia, China, EU/America. The line draw in the sand regarding chemical weapon seems arbitrary. Although chemical weapons are dangerous this idea of degrees of violence doesn't fly with me. All I really see is the same old divide and conquer strategy in order to undermine any sort of unity that may result from the Arab Spring. Different methods but the same results seen during the end of the Mandate after WW2.

Interesting article just in: Portable lab could guzzle Syria's sarin stockpile

    Quote
The prospect of imminent US air strikes on Syria receded this week, after Russia pressured embattled Syrian president Bashar al-Assad into agreeing to give up his chemical weapons (CW). While weapons experts warn that it could take years to destroy all of Syria's poisons, New Scientist has learned that the US has been developing game-changing technology to rapidly destroy CW in a foreign country.

    <snip>

The FDHS pumps agents such as sarin or mustard gas into an 8330-litre titanium tank, where they are mixed with water, sodium hydroxide and bleach and heated to just under boiling point. This triggers hydrolysis, which splits large molecules split into smaller fragments through a chemical reaction with water.

The US developed the hydrolysis method to destroy its own CW stockpile, as required under the 1997 Chemical Weapons Convention. But previously, it has only been used in large, static plants.

The FDHS takes 3 hours to destroy 99.9 per cent of the toxic agent in a single given load, and can process 5 to 25 tonnes of CW per day, depending on the agent. It creates a large amount of effluent – up to 14 times the volume of CW that went in – but unlike CW, this can be disposed of at commercial hazardous hazardous-waste facilities. Agents such as sarin are too dangerous to destroy in normal commercial incinerators. No facilities to destroy it safely are known to exist in Syria.

    Sounds like a handy unit.

Mind you, 0.1% of a 5 ton load of sarin is still enough to cause serious problems if it gets in the wrong place. That's still 5 kg of pure sarin left after processing, which could probably kill everyone in Syria in theory.

ETA: Looked up the lethal dose. Ok, so it's enough to kill almost half the Syrian population.

Syria will give its chemical weapons away, Bashar al-Assad tells Fox News

    Quote
Syria would stand by an agreement to dispose of its chemical weapons and give them to whatever nation was willing to take them, the country's president said on Wednesday night in a TV interview.

Bashar al-Assad said his government was bound to get rid of its weapons but maintained that it was not responsible for deadly gas attacks that killed hundreds outside Damascus on 21 August.

In an interview on the Fox News channel, the Syrian president said the destruction of the country's chemical weapons would take about a year, and would cost $1bn (£600m).

"I think it is a very complicated technically and it needs a lot of money. Some estimated about a billion for the Syrian stockpile," he said.

Asked whether he would be willing to hand over chemical weapons to the US government, Assad said: "It is very detrimental to the environment. If the American administration is ready to pay this money and take the responsibility of bringing toxic materials to the United States, why don't they do it?"

Yap making the shit needs billions and cleaning the shit needs another billion ..

It is surprising to see how fast AMRIKA listening to  its   Secretary of State John Kerry types and Senator John McCain types  readily endorsed war on Syrian public after listening to ArmChair experts like  this lady.. this BAGGY apparently a expert..

Those Jihadi boys are very charming.. Or she is doing it for Neocon warmongers money??

And she is Georgetown PhD Faker who gets paid by neocons of US of A that  Helped Convince John McCain to Strike syria. The news says  Syria writer Elizabeth O'Bagy, cited by Kerry, McCain, fired for Ph.D. lie

Such fucking  paid agents of warmongering piece of SHITS are the reason the world politicians specially from AMRIKA  start wars  and they don't know how to end them.. let me put here Murtaza article Fake credentials, real wars  on that BAGGY  Expert  here

    Quote
She has been faking it all along, but the middle-aged men couldn’t tell the difference. In their haste to wage yet another war, Secretary of State John Kerry and Senator John McCain readily endorsed an ‘American expert’ on Syria, Elizabeth O’Bagy, who claimed she had a doctorate. There are, however, two problems with this picture. Her doctorate is a fake and she concealed her paid work for a pro-rebel Syrian lobby group.
But it was not just the middle-aged American politicians who readily set aside caution and believed wholeheartedly in the attractive 26-year old woman. She also took the American media for a ride that lasted for months. Ms. O’Bagy became the go-to person for the media on the Syrian conflict. Fox News, MSNBC, CNN and others routinely interviewed her. The supposedly credible Washington Post published an op-ed from her in which she argued that Syrian rebels were not hardline al Qaeda militants. The op-ed caused her downfall. Secretary Kerry and Senator McCain both quoted her op-ed to other legislators during Senate hearings that brought attention to her fake credentials rather than her good looks.

The rise and fall of Elizabeth O’Bagy is more about the sustained failure of the American establishment to learn from its past mistakes of waging wars under false pretences than about a young woman embellishing her resume to earn a spot inside the Washington Beltway. It was not very long ago that the US attacked Iraq based on false testimony from Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi, an Iraqi defector. Despite warnings from the German and British intelligence, the US built the case to attack Iraq on false accounts of non-existing Iraqi biological weapons. The US is doing it once again with Syria. Only this time around, the lies couldn’t last long because, as the Urdu proverb goes, lies don’t have feet.

Elizabeth O’Bagy grew up in Salt Lake City in Utah. She studied Arabic at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and later lived in Cairo for two years. She returned to Georgetown for a Masters in Arab Studies and graduated in May 2013 (she is posing with other graduates in in the following photograph). At that point she decided to exaggerate her Masters and started identifying herself as Dr. O’Bagy.  Just like Monica Lewinsky, who was an intern in the Clinton White House, Ms. O’Bagy also launched her Beltway career as an intern with a neo-con think-tank, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which supports the US military intervention in Syria. Ms. O’Bagy quickly moved up from intern to an analyst. Again, just like Ms. Lewinsky, Ms. O’Bagy fell from favour and grace when she let her ambitions get the best of her.

The Washington Post op-ed proved to be too much for those who had, in the past, ignored her fake punditry on TV screens. They advised the Post of Ms. O’Bagy not disclosing her association with a pro-rebel group, the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), whose Executive Director, Mouaz Moustafa, is one shady character. Ms. O’Bagy until this week served as the political director of SETF. While SETF did not pay her salary, it compensated her for contractual work.

In her Washington Post op-ed Ms. O’Bagy wrote:
    Quote
“Moderate opposition groups make up the majority of actual fighting forces, and they have recently been empowered by the influx of arms and money from Saudi Arabia and other allied countries, such as Jordan and France.”

Several other agencies, including the European Parliament, have also asserted that Saudis are arming the Syrian rebels. However, one has to be a naïve of the highest order to assume for a second that the Saudis will support moderate groups. The past 35 years of Saudi investments in conflicts in the Middle East and South Asia explicitly demonstrate that Saudi government and charities exclusively fund hardline militants who continue to wage wars long after the American interests have migrated to other geographies.

And who is Mouaz Moustafa, you may ask.   Mr. Moustafa is in fact a Palestinian refugee who reportedly migrated to the US at 12. Before he launched SETF, Mr. Moustafa was the Executive Director of the Libyan Council of North America that called for a regime change in Libya. The 28-year old Damascus born was instrumental in chauffeuring Senator McCain in Syria. He and the 26-year old Ms. O’Bagy readily provided their shoulders to the US military enterprise to launch the US attack on Syria.

Earlier this month, Ms. O’Bagy’s formal employer, ISW, fired her but not for her dubious work on Syria, but for exaggerating her academic credentials. Kim Kagan, who heads the pro-war Institute, stands by Ms. O’Bagy’s research. “Her work is solid,” Ms Kagan told the media. Contrary to the stated policy of ISW about conflict of interest, Ms. O’Bagy wrote for ISW while she also received a retainer from SETF. Some solid work indeed.

Ms. O’Bagy has learnt the hard way that some things are harder to fake than others. A Ph.D. is one of them. However, what is more unsettling is that the American establishment has no qualms relying on false or uncorroborated testimony and opinions of those who either have a vested interest in waging wars or those who simply lie through their teeth.
