    It was a tough decision, but I had to vote for David. For some reason he reminds me of an uncle who had dry humour and would say something hilarious with a very straight face. It was hard to know when he was serious or joking and almost everything he'd say you could take one way or the other.

    He's a doctor. He has an MD. Also, he does know everything. He's traumatized and hurt inside. You'd know that if you watched enough of the show. The show isn't really even about medicine, that's just an interesting side element.

    American doctors go through more education than doctors from other countries, sometimes up to 15 years. The US has a lot of flaws, but we have some of the best doctors in the world.

    Also, the hospital aspect really is only an aside to the main storyline. You'd need to watch more than half an episode to know this. It's about the characters.

    Cheesy OK, OK, I'll watch the pilot episode, if you have a link to it online (not illegal, OF COURSE  whistling2).

    And Canadian docs have the same thing. What's it like in the US? Do you have to do undergrad first, then four years, then residency, and then more for specialization?

    It's crazy! :S I wanna be a doc and it'll take so long/be so hard. Cry

    BTW lots of Canadian docs go down South, so I bet all the best docs you've met have been Canuck. Like me in 20 years!! InshaAllah.

    I actually think he's really funny. I know he doesn't post much, but his posts are always funny in a dry way (like Da_Dude said).

    You can't judge a show by one episode. Watch the first SEASON of House, and then maybe...MAYBE...I'll take your criticism. Tongue

    He does shave sometimes irl, but the stubble is part of the character. Also, he looks much better with stubble. Further, his appearance in no way tells anything about his talent.

    I love House.

    Both the tv series and the character in the show himself, and the actual actor aside from his acting in House.

    The show is awesome 'cause it's like I get to be the voyeur and watch him at his best and worst moments. I wish I owned all the series.

    And I love the dialogue between all the different doctors and House etc...:

    "It's cancer..."
    "No it's not cancer, it's a cold-sore... let me run some tests"
    "No, you can't run some tests, you gotta cut his stomach up now! It's appendicitis!"
    "No, no, no, it's cancer dudes..."
    "It can't be cancer, it's biological warfare!"
    "See, told ya he was faking it!"
    "Uh oh, it really was cancer, OOPS, sorry folks."
