Yeah the "mou" is pronounced as in "mouse" and the "in" is obviously pronounced like "in".

Well if it was it would have an "a" in it. Stands to reason.

Wonder why the mispronunciation is so widespread, even in the movie itself, no? That or my chains being yanked.

because the french "in" is hard to pronounce for most anglophones. it doesnt really exist in the english language.

same thing happens to the word Lingerie.. ITS NOT LANGERY FOR X SAKE!!!  finmad

Well, yes. I used to live in New Zealand and Maori is quite a beautiful language, but when you translate a lot of the place names they're really boring.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I remain.

you know there are so many different accents within french I couldnt tell you which is right. As for me, I pronounce it more like Moul-eh (n)  Rouge. The (n) is not completely silent but not complete there either hehe.
The eh by the way sounds like the ai in the word AIR... oh god this is never ending, too many ways to pronounce things  wacko
