I already posted "John Johnny Janardhan" on page 1.  Naseeb is a great film, one of my favourite.  It's got a star studded cast and typical Kadar Khan dialogues.  Here's another one of my favourite songs from the film...

Tumse Milke was an excellent movie...high quality writing and acting. Nana Patekar is a genius actor.

This was a great song. Poor old Madhuri Dixit managed to get fat hairy Vinod Khanna simulating a sex scene with her. Lucky Vinod! But don't learn any french kissing techniques from these lot!

The only sad aspect of Chaalbaaz was that Rajnikaanth, the real Super actor from India, was given a mere supporting role as in his other Hindi-language films given his continuous brilliance as an action star in Tamil cinema (Kollywood) which frankly is financially worth more than Bollywood by a long way. The budgets and earnings for south Indian films is staggering!!!

I understand why people from South India dont really like Bollywood that much, given that people like Rajnikaanth and of course Kamal Hassan have not been really treated that fairly in Mumbai.

True. I've heard about this also. Kamal Hassan is a fantastic actor, I think Sri Devi started out in Tamil films too. Is Nana Patekar from a Tamil background too. Some of the very best Indian actors are from Tamil backgrounds so it wouldn't surprise me, but there's no doubt racism and classism and nepotism that bollywood is rife with.

Kamal Hassan is also perhaps the most critically acclaimed director in India as well. His movies are often the artistic brilliance needed to match the all-action stuff of Rajnikaanth from south India.

In fact, many brilliant films made in south Indian cinema (e.g. Munna Bhai MBBS was a complete Hindi remake of an older Kamal Hassan movie in Tamil) are now often remade by Bollywood with just lip service recognition given to the original masterpieces.  Roll Eyes

p.s. Rajnikaanth is perhaps still the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan....what the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan have earned are PEANUTS compared to how much Rajni has been earning for years. I guess maybe that is the reason why south Indian cinema (Tamil and Telugu languages) people dont really give a shit about Bollywood.

They know they are better than what Bollywood is and have the cash and artistic acumen to prove it.
