Nothing in the whole fucking world beats the feeling of controlling the dance floor and getting the crowd going.
I shared the night with a friend and we kept going back and forth with sets 30 - 60 mins long each time. I went on three times. And we had it set up in such a way that we didn't have to hot swap or anything. We beat-matched off each other's tracks and transitioned smoothly from set to set. It was phenomenal.
I started off with this track:

The place was empty at that time so I just played some soft tracks after that and mostly stuff I didn't care too much for.
My second set started at 1 am. The dance floor had started to fill up a bit by that time. I wanted to start with a bang, but my friend told me to start slow and build it up. So I looked at what he was playing and said, "I know exactly what I'm gonna drop." And that's when I dropped this:

And I just kept going with recognizable tracks for the first bit, to grab everyone's attention.

I had just started getting pumping with stuff I had planned beforehand to play when my friend came back and said we're gonna be on for another hour, so he wanted to do another set before I closed the night. I was on this following track, which he transitioned smoothly from.
http://www.traxsource.com/track/1346017/new-rhythmI went back on after his last set and continued where I had left off, starting off with this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccvjKvxDFv8And just kept going and going...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_f1CplHGYMhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jcFMxwzQrEThen I started slowing down.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCBrXhd6Mgkhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZXDEWfnSNMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EN6YpRslFDkBut then... I had a few minutes remaining, and I thought it was time for me to improvise. I wanted to see how much energy there was left in the dance floor, so I decided to drop the most pumping track I had and gauge the response.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fx6oykKGag8And the response was just... I can't describe it. The crowd went so fucking wild. Some people started having dance-offs. I felt like the God of the dance floor. I pushed the tempo up, up, up and kept the momentum going.
Then I thought, Hmmm, what should I play next? And it instantly hit me; I have just the right track for this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW8eYnof39YAnd that kept the ball rolling.
Then I decided to change it up a bit—something just as energetic but different. I had a track I wasn't too sure of but wanted to test out. So I just went for it.

And unfortunately that was when the bartender came up to me and said to end the night. Just when I had started getting really pumped. So I just turned down the volume incrementally till the dance floor emptied out.
I got a lot of really positive feedback. And my friend was impressed as well; said he wanted to do another night together. Definitely, I said.
