Insight with Tariq Ali on Pakistan

and Today's news from Pakistan says  PTI mulls National Assembly resignations ahead of session

And Imarn is going to take large procession of millions of people in to the Capital of Pakistan on August 14th ., The best thing for Pakistan to do is Sharif Govt announcing midterm elections with in six months or so to stabilize the country. Nawz Sharif can not stay behind the last elections as it is well known now that they were rigged in Punjab

well  there Imran Khan spells out what he wants for Pakistan...
    Quote
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has asked his party to be prepared in case the government arrests senior PTI leaders ahead of the Aug 14 ‘Azadi’ march in Islamabad, party sources told Dawn.com on Saturday.

Earlier today, Khan held a meeting with senior leaders of the party’s Punjab chapter, including PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhry, senior leader Javed Hashmi and Naeemul Haq.

Khan said that there is “absolutely no room for negotiations with the government. We’re demanding fresh elections,” Naeemul Haq quoted the PTI chief as saying.

Another source privy to the meeting quoted Khan as asking the party’s second tier leadership to be prepared in case arrest orders are issued for the senior leadership.

That is it.,  Fresh elections and fresh mandate  from people., I say Nawaz Sharif must take that challenge and go for it.. Announce dissolving the assembly and let the people elect him back  .... That step will save the country..

Day 2: Violent clash breaks out, as Azadi march advances   says DAWN news

US, UK and other countries issue travel advisory to citizens

The United States, the United Kingdom, some European countries and some countries from Asia-Pacific region have issued travel advisories to their citizens alerting them not to travel to Pakistan because of the prevailing security and political situation.

In addition, the government of these countries have also directed their diplomats to remain confined to their residences in Islamabad and not to move to any political event in Islamabad due to serious security threats to such gatherings.

"The diplomats have also been directed to move to Karachi to their respective consulate generals in case security situation in Islamabad became volatile," a diplomatic source told Dawn.

Despite a few isolated incidents, the 'march' has largely been incident free and not as violent as I was expecting it to be. Still, there's more time.

There was a clash in Gujranwalla, my family weren't involved, but Imran Khan suspects collusion between the PML-N workers and the police. Khan tweets that he 'will deal with them' when he reaches Islamabad. The man is on fire.

    Quote
Khan called for the Election Commission to resign before he arrived in Islamabad and told the crowd that it was unconstitutional to win elections through rigging.

    No shit.  Cheesy

Unfortunately I hear the some people have been killed. This according to http://www.awaztoday.tv/News-Talk-Shows/63388/Azadi-March-Inqilab-March-Live-Coverage.aspx

Sheikh Rasheed says unknown men fired at Imran Khan's container  says latest news from Dawn

    Quote
Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Friday said unknown men in plain clothes had fired at Imran Khan's container in Gujranwala. Speaking to DawnNews on telephone, Rasheed said the container was being fired at for the past 30 minutes.

Rasheed said he was in the container along with the PTI chief and Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Rasheed said PTI supporters are in danger, adding that the container was not bullet proof.

Moreover, PTI leader Shirin Mazari said Imran Khan's container was also pelted with stones and said Nawaz Sharif should prepare his resignation.

well that is the bottom line., But if anything happens to Imran Khan., The stakes will be high and  the troubles will rise exponentially

Good stuff.. good stuff..Pakistani, Indian artists jointly release song on Independence Day says news
    Quote
With many Pakistani actors crossing over to Bollywood, India has taken the opportunity to help bridge the gap further between the two nations - this time through music.

On Independence Day, Indian band, "Maati Baani" launched a melodious song, "Rang Rangiya" in collaboration with various Pakistani music artists, to celebrate the unity in diversity between both nations.

The word “Maati Baani” literally means language of the earth.

Originally formed in 2012 in Mumbai, by guitarist Kartik Shah and classical singer, Nirali Kartik, the vision behind the band is to transcend borders and connect people through music despite their differences.

    Quote
The song incorporates beautiful lyrics and a diverse set of instruments, including some lines of poetry from the great mystic Kabir:

    Preet Na Kije Panchhi Jaise,
    Jal Sukhe Ud Jaaye,
    Preet toh Kije Machhli Jaise,
    Jale Sukhe Mar Jaaye.

The song is soulful, soothing and upbeat at the same time. Not to mention, Pakistani singer, Komal Rizvi's talented voice compliments Nirani's notes spectacularly, as she incorporates Bulleh Shah's poetry. D'souza mentioned how in awe the team was by Gulab Afridi's (Peshawar) playing of the Rubab, which he described, as "the lion of all instruments."

"It [rubab] gave a beautiful touch to the song," says D'souza. D'souza shared that this project took a lot of effort from all the members of the team and could not have been possible, had they not believed in themselves and in world peace. “Musicians have to make an effort. [They] have to know deep down that this is what they really want to do.”

“Miracles can happen if you believe in yourself and your music.”

So is the opposition. Imran Khan and Qadri are clowns. Sharif was elected in a fair election by Pakistani standards. He should be allowed to complete his term. Imran and Qadri can use that time to develop programmes for the development of the country and get ready for the next election. Unfortunately, there is nothing constructive about Imran and Qadri. Qadri is a trouble maker, does not even live in Pakistan - he lives in Canada, just goes to Pakistan to rile people up. They can learn few things from kaffirs across the border.

Imran says he will not go home till Nawaz resigns

    Quote
Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said he will continue to lead protests in Islamabad along with thousands of his supporters until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif steps down.

With his sit-in slated to formally begin Saturday afternoon, will Imran and his party manage to shake the government enough to consider some of their demands? Will the government send its emissaries to Imran? Or is PTI looking to reject dialogue with the government altogether?

Often Imran Khan throws a silly statement., Well you can sit alon as long as you want in Islamabad  but why   that should make  Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif steps down?  That is totally out of any rule book including constitution of Pakistan  unless Imran wants to throw that also out..
