Shyness is not allow about being unable to ask a women out. For myself I just do not walk up to random strangers and ask for their numbers. I tend to wait until a dialogue is develops with someone I have interest in, longer than a casual exchange. I like to get to know someone before any sort of "dating" situations are even brought up. The whole cat calling was never big in my group of friends. "Hey Baby, show me your Canadian beaver eh!" There was never a need to draw attention to ourselves as potential dating material was always presented with friends of friends and acquaintances.

    Strange how things change.

Just wrote with her - she lost all her Muslim friends except two when she took off the hijab. Her Muslim bubble was apparently the Danish branch of The Muslim Brotherhood. Haven't asked her if she still considers herself Muslim.

How are the muslim organization in Denmark?

Conservative. Mostly operating below the radar. Or ethnically focused like the Turkish and Alevi communities, neither which have a history of extremism.

How are they reacting to Akkari?

They adopted a policy of total silence.
Many "Normal" Musilms see him as a double-traitor. First he betrayed Danish Muslims because of the backlash to them and then he flip-flopped and is now in their view assisting anti-Muslim bigotry. He is under death threats and has moved back to Greenland to be able to land a job (in Denmark he couldn't get benefits or find a job because he had to have bodyguards with him all the time).

    Was Akkari important?

Ugh. I've never had more mixed feelings about a video in my life.

On one hand, the man is literally repulsive and surely was engineered to be the representative of all things that could possibly be disgusting and awful in a person.

On the other hand, I could watch the woman in the middle for days. It was almost worth hearing that man's voice to realize that she exists, with those flawless expressions that so perfectly describe the feeling you get when you're unprepared to respond to such an outrageous level of foolishness.
