    True , coincidence or fake/false
i have been having this argument with an egyptian guy just like myself about this verse ... i read most of the embryology about it since the claim here is that the testes originate from between the spine and the ribcage

my findings according to http://www.ehd.org/classics/gasser_ch8.php was that

    1) the genital ridge at week 5 is between C7-T8
2)the undiffrentiated gonads is between T10-L2
    3)diffrentiated it becomes from T11-L1

taking in account that the ribs are from T1-T12 formed as primordia at week 7 or something
so i was wondering does the claim stand (not nessesary wat the verse means)
what does the verse really mean??

numbers 2-3 tells me its simply imprecise
number 1 is true but no ribs formed yet so as u can see its a bit of a dilemma really

was wondering wat u people thought about that verse  thnkyu

Are you sure its saying that the claim is that the 'testes' originate from between the spine and the ribcage?

I was always under the impression that it was saying the sperm (fluid) originates from between the spine and the ribcage.

86:6-7 He is created from a gushing fluid, That issued from between the backbone and the ribs

The testes is not between the backbone and ribs in an adult when the so-called 'fluid' gushes out.

Knowing Islam is the only true religion we do not allow propagation of any other religion. How can we allow building of churches and temples when their religion is wrong? Thus we will not allow such wrong things in our countries. - Zakir Naik

Its no difference to what Galen & other greek scientists thought at the time (note the Greeks also thought sperm developed directly into babies once they reached the womans womb, no concept of a female egg - and again this is mirrored by the Quran, which also makes no mention of the womans egg).

Here's my youtube video on it..
