Pretty soon in the next few decades
We will have the technology to be even beyond positive if someone did something.
Maybe, maybe not-- I rather doubt it unless the government develops a way to track what we are doing at any given moment of the day, and that's no kind of world I want to live in. And in any event the criminal justice system will still be made up of people, and people make mistakes no matter how good the technology is (plus people can manipulate technology to get the result they want)
I want life to mean life if i do not get death penalty.
And no i do not mean 10 years and out in 2.
I mean, rotting in jail. Buried in the backgarden from the jail.
For certain crimes, I definitely agree (like particularly heinous murders). But coming from the country with the world's highest incarceration rate, there are plenty of crimes here that could do with less severe sentencing.
