    Yes, true, fair point.

    lol... another very good point!

    And that's what Salafis admit to. They admit that given the Quran one must understand that the punishment for both fornication/adultery is lashing... BUT there's what the prophets Bukhari/Muslim said, so there must be an exit, albeit accepting a Hadith saying that there used to be a verse prescribig stoning but it was abrogated to "test us" (while keeping the verses that imply lashing in their place)... some brilliant excuse they have.

    One perhaps an all-knowing god would have at least been able to predict eh? ;-)

    http://thebetterquran.com/Cases/View/28

    41:9-12
    Problem: The verses describe the creation order of the Earth and heavens in the same order as Genesis, which has the Earth + vegetation (sustenance) created before the heavens - all of which is scientifically incorrect.

    Original text:
    9: Disbelieve ye verily in Him Who created the earth in two Days, and ascribe ye unto Him rivals? He is the Lord of the Worlds.
    10: He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for (all) who ask;
    11: Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke, and said unto it and unto the earth: Come both of you, willingly or loth. They said: We come, obedient.
    12: Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Days and inspired in each heaven its mandate; and We decked the nether heaven with lamps, and rendered it inviolable. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knower.

    Solution:
    Rearrange the order of the verses so that the story reads in the correct order.
    Remove the statement which says that the Earth existed whilst the heavens were still smoke.
    Remove any references to the amount of time taken.

    New text:
    9: He turned to the heaven when it was like smoke, and said unto it come together willingly or unwillingly.
    10: Then He ordained them seven heavens and inspired in each heaven its mandate; and We decked the nether heaven with lamps, and rendered it inviolable. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knower.
    11: Then We created the earth, and ascribe ye unto Him rivals? He is the Lord of the Worlds.
    12: He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance, alike for (all) who ask;

    I have added a "Suggest a case" link to the various pages.  So if you think of any more then please use that to suggest them.

    Looks good

    Are you getting many views, any feedback? Maybe you could add a top 3 or  top 5  list as most people might only look at a handful.

    I haven't enabled stats yet so I have no idea how many people are looking at it.  However I doubt many people are as it has not yet been promoted in any way Smiley

    I think this is my favourite case so far:

    41.9 Correct erroneous creation order of the universe

    You should also add the fact that you removed the "2 days" etc... nonsense which seems to add up to 8 days - whereas elsewhere it says 7 days. (Don't worry the tafseers explain that it really does mean 7 - but a better Qur'an could certainly make it a bit clearer.)

    Plus - and this is my favourite - the earth seems to have taken longer than the rest of the universe? Yet earth is 4.5 billion years old while the universe is 13.7 billion years old. Hmmmm... I wonder what Allah could have been getting at here.

    I think this proves Paul Dirac wrong, God is a terrible mathematician.
