    Good luck PeruvianSkies!!

For those in high school, I envy you! I can't tell you how much employers place A-levels over University degrees today in the UK. Quite frankly I wish I repeated my A-levels. Anything below a BBB is a stuggle, and extenuating circustances don't really count. For some heads up I hope those in high school are looking into the requirements for acceptance at Uni if you wish to go there, just for awareness.  Smiley

My cousin has a BA in business and finance and a masters in business management and she's struggling to find a job. On the other hand her friend only has 3 A-Levels (A in Maths) and she secured a good job with Barclays.

From my experience UCAS point/A-levels are a good filter for firms when it is difficult to asses a graduate based on their University alone, hence why minimum UCAS points are prevalent in the requirements listings for graduate positions.

Given the increasing number of graduates looking for uni with very similar university grades, firms tend to go back further. Some even look at GCSE attainment.

I'm very happy that I got a good start with them. It's just the relevant work experience (which is hard to come by at times!) I need to get more of and of course, a good degree result (at least a 2.1)

Good luck to your friend, I hope she finds a good role. I don't mean to say it is impossible to get a job without decent A-levels, just a lot harder I think, c'est la vie!

Also, summer internships are highly sought after by employers too.

Yeah but she worked hard in uni and got a masters ! Why do they need to go back to A-Levels?

After my exam at 2, I have 3 more left!

Ooh I found a pattern using the previous exam papers! They basically ask the same questions in every exam lol Cheesy Also, we all know what the first part of the exam is, and have already prepared for it in a poster presentation (what the point of this was, I'll never know...). The second part of the exam, we only need to answer 2 questions out of 4. The previous exams are quite useful in finding out what areas to concentrate on.

    This will make revision easier.

I'm working part of a research team to test the effects of a novel cannabis consistuent (containing the active substance THC) on feeding behaviour. Cannabis has been widely documented as increasing appetite so we're testing that on rat models. Smiley
