It's a common problem with Paris. Generally, the further away from Paris that you get, the more foreigner friendly the french become.. although it's not a guarantee if you don't speak french fluently and with even the slightest hint of an English accent
Yeah, I really want to visit non-Paris France, I'm sure the experience will be nicer. Not that it was THAT bad, mind you. I speak French like a native and when I can focus, I can produce a pretty convincing Parisian accent. People weren't as bitchy towards me as they were towards my boyfriend, who doesn't speak a word. There was a clear difference in the way we were treated. Which is retarded. We are tourists, you can't expect us to learn your fucking language if we're here just for a week.
