    But seriously, you should read about that guy in Ontario (dunno where) who's been convicted for like 193 crimes, killed a girl on a high-speed car chase, and injured 5 others. He got life sentence with possibility of parole after 10 years.

    A lot of people only oppose it because the justice system isn't perfect. I oppose it based on a strong belief that violence of any kind is immoral unless used in defence, when an assailant poses an immediate threat.
