I don't know of any Canadian or Australian TV-series, well, there is Neighbors but I don't like soap operas. I'd say Bleach but honestly I just can't watch anime.

The only non-english tv series I know that is international and is supposedly good (I am yet to watch it) is the Israeli TV-drama BeTipul http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BeTipul which has been re-made in the States as "In Treatment."

So if you have any suggestions please post them.

Fawlty Towers, Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em, Extras, The Office, Summer Heights High.

Summer Heights High is great, it's another mockumentary-style series about three characters in a school (a girl, a boy and a teacher) all played by the same person. My favourite character is Mr. G, a flamboyant drama teacher.

Here's a clip, he is in charge of the safety drills / procedures.  Cheesy

Just watched Outnumbered for the first time, cracking show!!!  grin12

Ben, 9/10 years old: If our personality is made from our genes and environment then are we really to blame for what we do?

Kelly the babysitter doing a PhD in Psychology: That's a brilliant question Ben! Quite a few neuroscientists are starting to question where there is such thing as free will and if that is true people can't really be blamed for their actions.

Ben: Right ... could you write that down for my dad?

Annnd... 8/10 Cats, The IT crowd, The Apprentice (although the US have a version of it too)

BBC one-series show, currently being aired, is Luther. Brilliant.

How about some cookery shows? Come dine with me, The Restuarant, Masterchef, Great British Menu, The F Word.

Not really. US is definitely slicker with carefully written scripts and superior quality of filming/sets etc...

But nothing beats the quirky individualism and dry ironic humour of the Brits!  Afro

    imho of course lol

I like both, wouldn't say one is better than the other, but great there is a choice.
