I'm being serious, I am struggling to think of any TV shows from outside the UK or America that I've ever cared for.

I used to like this Japanese show called monkey when I was a kid, it was fuggin brilliant.

    Holy shit that's looks awesome!!

That's the thing, I want people to write down all the series, from Canada and Australia, drama, comedy etc I'm sure there are other great shows out there. But if I was to guess I'd say US is best followed by UK.

Its based on Journey to the West, the ancient Chinese Buddhist story about the early days of Buddhism in China, when this Buddhist monk, accompanied by this crazy bastard monkey-man, and a couple of other imps, travel to India to bring back holy scriptures. and every episode they have adventures and batter and have mass kung fu battles with demons and bandits and crooks and bad guys. Its freakin brilliant!

Do you think that the language barrier might have played a role in it?

Let's go Canadian here! I don't watch a lot Canadian shows, and I know some people who believe Canadia is the home of comedy or something.... bullshit.
But, here are a couple shows that, in my opinion, are pretty awesome:

Trailer Park Boys I think people in the States know this one, too.

The Jon Dore Show My abosolute favorite!

This show is amazing. I used to watch it every week as a kid on my new room tv, after fruitlessly searching for porn on the four channels I had. The princess was hot though.

    Wilfred. Australian show.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I loved Cracker, starring Robbie Coltrane. British crime drama that aired in the 90s about an alcoholic, chain-smoking, gifted criminal psychologist. The episodes are kinda like a self-contained whodunnit, but more like a whytheydidit.

I also really loved The Fall, which was on BBC quite recently. A short (4 episodes) season 1 ended on a cliffhanger and if that's a taste of things to come, season 2 is gonna be something really special.

I love anything by Charlie Brooker too. He's one of my fave living writers.

Les Revenants, yes? That was utterly magnificent.

    In other news:

Dare to Believe. Not to everyone's taste, I admit.

More commercially there's The Midnight Beast.
