Until they have dominance over the country, they HAVE to present it as such.  I got sucked in the same way, except by what i suspect as "planted" muslim missionariies on the internet, reassuring me that all are loved, terrorism is WRONG, and i get all these great credits for being a foreigner learning arabic, and imagine the rewards if I got married! BAH!

A group called Exploring Islam Foundation is due to launch a campaign called 'Inspired by Mohammad' next week in London. This will consist of posters across London which challenge 'misperceptions' about Islam. What do you guys think?

As Gandhi would say: "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Time for Muslims to stop blaming the 'wrong perceptions' of non-Muslims and focus on the many Muslims who hold these perceptions themselves.

More introspection - less blaming others.

For those of you who haven't already done so, please listen to Myriam Francois-Cerrah defend this campaign...

Especially at 4:15mins of the first video where she waffles on and the presenter had to interject.

    Oh dear God...  Roll Eyes

The extremely annoying, yet oh-so-articulate and oh-so-eloquent and oh-so-chirpy Muslimah convert Myriam Francois-Cerrah was on the radio trying to defend this campaign with a lot of soundbites and a lot of articulate waffling, but no substance.

She's the media spokesperson of the organisation behind this campaign and has appeared on BBC's The Big Questions a few times.

Kudos to Dr Taj Hargey though.  I don't understand how he can practically reject the Hadith and still call himself a Muslim, but hey-ho...

It's good to see some elements of the media challenging the campaign organisers on these points.

She keeps saying that this campaign is designed to "open up routes for dialogue".

This is bullshit.  Are we supposed to have a dialogue with pictures of the people on the posters?  This is nothing but dawah.  One way propaganda.

She also said that there may be disagreements on "minor issues".  Yeh sure, killing apostates and stoning adulterers and the misogyny of Muhammad are "minor" issues.  Roll Eyes

This campaign is a joke. It makes me laugh even more to think about the dawagandists buzzing around feverishly like little worker bees behind the scenes churning out this absolute drivel. What a waste, but as someone said, this kind of thing can only expose Islam further and that, at the end of the day, is a good thing

Go Douglas Murray!  He's written an article about this in the Telegraph...  Afro

    Go indeed Douglas Murray Afro

I like him. He wrote an essay in the Spectator about how his study of Islam forced him to examine his Christian beliefs, and he became an atheist and an ex Christian because of it. Because the absurdities of Islam made him apply rigour to his own religion, and he just couldn't accept it any more.

It is being strongly pedalled by taxpayer-funded Muslim organisations. Which makes it another nice example of the British people being preached to and proselytised in an Islamic way, presumably at our own expense.

Jesus wept. Dawahganda funded by the British kuffar taxpayers, to prosletyse Islam to them under the rubric of clearing up 'miconceptions'. You couldn't make this up, could you?

Anyhow – details, details. As far as I’m concerned, people can believe what they want. But once they try to make other people believe it too by advertising in public places, then they will have to get used to having their platitudes critiqued and ridiculed.

That's the heart of it. Islam prosletyses alot, on a lot of levels, so it sets itself up for refutation, and this tends to make alot of Muslims resentful and despairing. They're not used to it. Its very oppressive and racist.

People are seeing through it though. Its being seen through for the bullshit that it is. The whole idea is to project onto everyone else a guilt complex, but that doesn't wash anymore. Islamic grievance culture is being called out for what it is. Initiatives like this are only adding to that.

Are people seeing through it? I'm not so sure. otherwise surely there'd be more of you guys. Myriam Francois-Cerrah doesn't see through it.

Yes, they are seeing through it. And its not about 'you guys', its about the mainstream getting to grips with the issues and to challenge the presumptions of Islamic identity politics which they are doing increasingly compared to a few years ago. And Myriam Francois-Cerrah is a convert apologist, what else do you expect her to do? Of course she doesn't 'see through it'.
