    I buffered the videos and skimmed through them.  I've already heared the bullcrap that he's saying in those videos so I really did skim through them.

    Bans are counter-productive. How about submitting Islam and all other religions to a respectful but for that reason exactly no less ruthless and critical analysis. This would be a way to show true respect for Muslims (and other religionists), to treat them as serous adults who are responsible for their beliefs.

    And not as retarded crybabies who are unable to critically asses their own views and position - which is obviously something that "we" Westerners can. But Muslims cannot because they are "different".
    Yep, BBC-like "respect" is actually a sign of blatant racism.

    To diverge slightly from the topic,
    I was wondering whether we should really use phrases like "I support your right to practice your religion", because what if part of their religion is simply illegal in the West?  Like killing apostates, or beating wifes, or discriminating against homosexuals. wacko

    Maybe we should use phrases like: "I support your right to believe in your religion and worship freely".

    I don't see what purpose it serves.  Actually I think it makes things worse because people can still access his talks via youtube etc but no longer have the ability to cross examine him.

    Yes, I agree. Myself and Kenan may have got our wires crossed, since I interpreted one of his posts as supportive of the ban (my mistake).

    I think the ban just lionises him, and feeds paranoid Islamic minds with ideas of both persecution and conversly, supremacy (the whole, 'these kaffir know he's right, that's why they are afraid of him and need to ban him')
