I don't usually get compliments, but pretty is a word that people have used to describe my looks.

Can't speak for everyone, but that's not usually what it means to me. For me "pretty" is anyone with a wholesome and attractive looking face, whether or not they fall on the "cute" or "hot" side of the attractiveness adjective spectrum. And to be clear, "cute" can be very, very desirable to me. For some guys "cute" is the preference all the time, though I normally prefer those on the "hot/sexy" tip (but not always).

I don't know man. Sometimes I feel cute has more negative connotations than it does positive ones. Maybe because I'm insecure about my height. I mean if I was like 5'11 or more I would definitely take it as a compliment. But me being 5'7 I get the impression that when a girl says I'm cute, she means "I wanna pinch his cheeks, watch a movie with him, and tell him about my ex"

Hey, Q, I thought you might find this interesting. I payed attention for 24 hours and I got no compliments on my physical appearance save for:

1) Random dudes saying 'Allah ibarek' (the equivalent of mashallah, whatever that means)
2) My ultimate favourite: yesterday as I was walking towards my home some guy in a car YELLED across the street that he'd like to 'push my crap in'. Isn't that lovely? Do you believe me now?
