    Should add this to the smoking thread.

    This is fucked up.  I read this (can't remember when) and thought it was terrible then too.  My child could scream and scream and I still woudn't give them a smoke.

    They try to get sweets and coca cola the same way, but they know it won't happen.  I;m strict.

    That is the coolest thing I've ever seen. I especially liked it when he was in the leather jacket and diaper. I wanna party with that kid!  grin12

    I saw this video like a month ago.  I blame only the parents.

    @ Berberella....Love your parenting skills.  I dont have kids but when my neices and nephews come over I usually just give them what they want to they would leave me alone...guess that wont work if i have children of my own.

    Lol. Seriously though. His lungs will never fully develop, he probably doesn't have much energy which is why he's so fat, he probably has every type of organ disease known to man, and if not he's a high risk for them. I bet he will become the youngest person ever to have a heart attack, if he even lives long enough to get to that point. His parents are poisoning him. They are slowly murdering him. I'm sure it's hard seeing him throw a fit when he doesn't get his fix, but if his parents really cared for him they would get him the medical care he needs in order to get through withdrawals. Not that it would help at this point anyway, since his organs are likely damaged beyond repair. That there is a dead kid walking.

    Go ahead and adopt, there's no worrying about dealing with teen issues later. You'll only have to deal with financing a funeral. Hopefully baby coffins aren't too expensive.

    Lol ok. I think there's a big difference between living next to a coal-powered factory and chain smoking 4 packs a day. But yeah, I never said he's not cool. He seems really jovial and friendly and awesome. I've got nothin against the kid, but his parents should be sent to prison. And castrated.

    I'd say I hope he lives, but even if he does, he's just going to have a miserable disease-ridden life Cry

    I thought it was one pack a day. And I'd say growing up in a heavily polluted area is just as bad as that. I grew up in a household with 3 heavy smokers, and never had any respiratory problems, but when I moved to a place about a mile away from a large chemical plant I had chronic bronchitis until I moved away. And back in the 19th century people in industrial areas had to deal with much worse than that-- even well into the 20th century in certain US locations-- ask anyone who lived in Pittsburgh in the 1960s. Of course in many Third World industrial centers the air pollution is just as bad as it ever was.

    But yeah, you know I'm not seriously arguing with you about how shitty the parents are, right?

    Is he on the way to an early death? sure. But I think its an exaggeration to say that all his organs are beyond repair.
    First of all, I don't how much he smokes or how long he's been smoking for. His lungs, trachea, and bronchi are probably in the irritation stage. Next thing is that smoke (CO2) will start depositing in his trachea and bronchi. Then the alveoli (lung chambers where the CO2-O2 exchange takes place) will get fucked-up.

    But if he keeps smoking 3 packs a day for 20 years, the risk for laryngeal and lung cancer will exponentially increase. Ii bet in 10 years his lungs will look totally black and dim in an X-ray.

    Well I looked it up and supposedly he's been smoking since 18 months. If he's exactly 2 years old now, that means for 6 months. So maybe his organs aren't as trashed as I imagined, but the fact is you can't compare the condition this kid will be in after 20 years of smoking with the condition an adult would be in after 20 years, who started in his/her late teens. Even a teenager has not fully developed physically, but an 18-month old? The development of his lungs, heart and the rest of his organs will be severely affected by his chain smoking, making 20 years of smoking for him (if he even lives that long) a lot more damaging than 20 years of smoking for a teen/young adult whose organs have mostly developed unaffected before starting smoking.

    Anyway, he's a cute kid with shitty parents. If he lives long enough to understand what they are doing to him, I'm sure he'll never stop hating them for it.
