nope, it's not just you Sabby!  I can't stand it.  there are very few women who can really pull it off in my opinion.  you really have to have a perfect mouth and teeth to wear it

Red lipstick looks horrible on most women, and all men. The few who can pull it off usually juggle balls for a living.

Me too I love the rain.

I also love how I'm getting better mentally.

I love my new obsession on reading Friedrich Nietzsche and on nihilism.

I love the fact that the snow is melting here and that spring is coming soon.

I love the fact that I feel loved by the people that really loves me for who I AM!

    Kindness.

On Friday night, my older cat was hit by a car. I found her meowing with her hind leg dangling loosely. It was heart breaking, and I immediately rushed to the emergency vet. The vets took her in and gave her pain meds, took x-rays and kept her overnight. The head vet estimated the cost at $1k, which made my stomach turn. She came back later, telling me that I should pay an extra 350, and I was like why? :/ She said because my cat could die...... She said that in front of my sisters, dad and her secretary....I suddenly felt powerless, and if my cat died she could claim she told me so, so I paid up. She told me the reconstruction surgery for my cat's leg is 2500-5000. She also said the bone was very shattered and it could be more. I know I cannot pay that, so I told her to amputate. Amputation costs $1200. I was sure I was gonna have to amputate. The following day, I was on the phone with another vet because I was after a payment plan for the amputation as I could not pay another $1k up front.

I met a vet named George in a clinic about 40 minutes drive further. First thing he said was don't worry and it was normal. Then he discussed the reconstruction process. I stopped him half way and told no I can't afford that, please amputate.

He said "No I wont amputate, the bones in 2 big pieces, it's cruel to amputate"
I repeated that I cannot afford it.
He asked me what I was quoted for amputation.
I said 1.2k for amputation, or 2.5k+ for reconstruction
He said "I'm going to put her leg back together for $700, and keep her for the weekend no extra cost, and put you on a payment plan"
     Cry
I nearly burst out into tears. He only just met me and he was putting her leg back together, not for 2.5k but for $700.....What possessed this man to be so kind.

I seriously love this man. I picked my cat up today, her leg was operated on and should take a month to get better. I got him a card and chocolates. Lol, turns out he's diabetic........ Cheesy

    *sigh*

Sorry to hear about your cat Jila, I hope she gets better quickly. It is always best to get a second opinion with vets because they are always trying to rip you off. At least that is how it is in the USA. It sounds like you have found a really kind vet who actually loves animals.
