Unknown Action

Sometimes when I check the Who's Online it says that some Guest is performing an Unknown Action.

I am a curious cat and I want to know what it might mean exactly ^_^

That, and I am actually worried that they are trying to ninja buttsex me out of nowhere :S

I'm a curious cat too.

I'd also like to know how exactly it knows who is still online. Is it just a bog-standard 15 minute timer since you last clicked on a link within the forum? So if I shutdown my PC and go to bed, will people still think I'm online for the next 15 minutes? (I never log out, btw)

And before anyone asks (after reading Eph's link) why something like a shoutbox would return that message the reason is that it is not part of the basic forum software and therefore gets called an "Unknown Action". We run quite a few add-ons that have their own actions outside of the basic forum package.
